So Joseph married Mary but didn’t have sex?
A man-devised centuries long FALSE Teaching.
According to Scripture…
* Joseph was a Righteous man of ISRAELITE Descent, Faithul and Obedient to God.
* Mary WAS a virgin of ISRAELITE Descent and pleasing unto the LORD.
* Joseph and Mary were Betrothed.
* Mary and Joseph were Forewarned and Accepted Gods Intent to Send Gods Holy Word, in the fashion as a man-child to Mary’s Womb.
* Joseph and Mary’s “Wedding” ceremony was NOT detailed.
* Joseph and Mary “co-habituated” (occupied Same Sleeping quarters… appropriate for married couples)…NOT appropriate for “unmarried” couples.
* From the beginning of man-kind… faithful and obedient married couples were instructed TO MULTIPLY (which is no secret, requires the act of copulation.)
* Faithful, Obedient Joseph and Mary both agreed to ABSTAIN from engaging in copulation… UNTIL AFTER the Birth of the Word of God, Sent to Mary’s Virgin Womb.
* Faithful, Obedient Joseph and Mary, BY all indications, Were Obedient to The Law of Moses (GIVEN Moses FROM God).
* A son, was delivered Forth FROM Mary’s Womb, (according to the “WAY” of natural man-KIND… ie. AFTER 9 months).
* The babe, was Delivered in the Town of Bethlehem, Judea… and a LEGAL (determined by his Legal Earthly Parents) a Citizen of Nazareth, Southern Galilee.

Joseph and his Virgin Bride, could Consummate Their Marriage, and Faithfully and Obediently… MULTIPLY (ADD TO their offspring / children).
* Scripture reveals, 4 Named LEGAL brothers of JESUS, and more than one “unidentified by name” sisters.

They are really convincing too for those that don't know God's Word for themselves because they've deceived many to continue following their false teachings.
@David in NJ I think it was you who asked about bride price. It is only related to virgins; and it is punishment given to the groom. I made some evident mistakes.

Everyone on here has made mistakes, myself included.
What is the OT scripture passage that talks about the price?
Different culture, different customs. They were betrothed during that period, which was considered like being married. But they don't actually consummate until a year later or so after they have the wedding ceremony. So there is a brief window where they could be married but not have had sex.

Actually Joseph completely rejected her until an Angel told him to marry her he basically left her to be stoned to death which is what would of happened had he not married her.No angel no marriage and she would of been stoned to death in the deeply religious society.

“When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, 25 but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.
That word “until” means that they were married, but did not have sexual relations until after Jesus was born. The prophesy was that the Messiah would be “born of a virgin”, not just “conceived” by one.
Joseph respected that, knowing what the angel had told Mary....and knowing the prophesy in Isaiah.
Another translation renders it this way....
“When Joseph woke up, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded and took Mary as his wife. But he did not have sexual relations with her until her son was born. And Joseph named him Jesus.” (NLT)
That is how Jesus came to have siblings....

I would call her the Virgin Mary... Until Jesus was born... I would say James was a product of Joseph and Mary after the Lord's birth.

I say! I would say the Apostle Paul had a lot of interesting conversation with James!

An interesting humor for a servant from the other side of the globe, thank you.
Based on scripture in context, James is pro-Israelites for their salvation and Paul is pro-Gentiles for their salvation.
They had their differences based on the Gentile believer's matter Paul brought to Peter, until Peter had to step in to conclude the matter.
And when James sent his party of men to look for Peter, upon seeing them Peter got up from the table he was dinning with the Gentiles.
(Looks like the church in Jerusalem are unsure about Gentile believers and their salvation, as likewise Peter was prior at Simon the tanner's house in Joppa)
This offended Paul very much and he rebuked Peter then and there openly, and just imagine his friendship with James will turn out to be.
Looks like Paul stand to no nonsense, even he had a dispute with Barnabas in regards Mark, and as a result they parted ways.
Therefore to conclude, there's no way James and Paul can get along well even to have a lot of interesting conversation together, nevertheless a short one yes.

Jesus had 3 brothers and 2 sisters, looks like after Jesus the 'firstborn', Joseph and Mary became crazy in love with each other and made more babies.

But ironically certain denominations claim, Mary died a virgin and the other kids were of their relatives and are Jesus' cousins.
