You're a wonderful person, @Debp ....but I wouldn't want to live anywhere nwar California and I feel sorry for those who do.

I was born in Houston, Texas ....grew up all over East Texas ....been lots and lots of places, but I live in Arkansas now.

There are good aspects of California. But the cost of living is terribly high.

I have a friend who moved to Los Angeles from Dallas, Texas. She absolutely loves L.A. She finally managed to get a low income apartment run by a charity. It's beautiful and she has a view of the mountains.
