Romans 7:6 (NKJV)
But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not [in] the oldness of the letter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If one would, the foundation of what our salvation in Christ consists of is put forth in this verse…
Having died to all doing of the law, do, being trying to be good enough for God, that we should serve in newness of Spirit, not in oldness of the letter of trying…
‘newness of Spirit’
This newness of Spirit scripture speaks of is something totally foreign to mankind, something totally new, something that goes against what human wisdom calls wisdom… This serving in newness of Spirit, is the same faith Abraham had, only brought forth by looking back to what was accomplished on the cross and not looking forward to the hope of it…
And because of this, this salvation is something to be had now, to be experienced now, this newness of life… This, what our salvation in Christ consists of is to be experienced 24 hours a day 365 days a year, forever going forward…
Accessing this newness of life is the issue…
That we might serve in newness of Spirit, the meaning of these words says everything… This same truth is put forth in scripture in so many different ways using so many different words, all trying to bring one’s life to see just what one’s salvation in Christ consists of…
Which is in a nutshell, the faith of the heart continually turned towards God… That He by His operation in real time would manifest righteousness in every and all circumstances of life, which manifesting is done by and through the new birth, that life that is to be our’s in Heaven, whether these circumstances be pleasing to one or not…
For walking in the Spirit, is walking in faith… These words mean the same thing, the same truth is being put forth… For God is spirit, and through the Spirit does one know Him…. For there is nothing the carnal mind can do to find God, only the faith of the heart turned towards Him can find Him… This is living in the Spirit, this is walking by faith…. The same faith Abraham had, just receiving, what he had only the hope of…
‘Having died’
These words, understood correctly frees one from all the self will and all the influences of this world, the all of everything one needs to be freed from…. When it is seen what it is that holds one to slavery to sin, when it is seen, that it is their very own selfs, these two words of truth and promise become the lifeline that they were intended to be, that is, the foundation of one’s salvation in Christ… Than going forward faith and faith alone from a position of death, in the very real and immediate operation of God in the life, becomes by experience, the walking in newness of life, this, the new born life growing to maturity in one…
Something totally foreign, to all experiencing before the Divine nature came to life in one..
Be blessed all in the new life that is ours by faith, Not me
