And ‘in the cool of the day’?
Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
In my mind I had it backwards thinking it said ‘and they heard the voice of the Lord walking in the garden in the heat of the day’:
Nothing near <heat> of day; but "cool" from 'ruach' - 'wind'; also "quick" (part) and (first) "quarter"; in Genesis 1:8 'ruach' this once only is a Noun. I once read an 'official' translation with "evening".
It simply to me is silly to make of the Seventh Day an exception of one day out of seven days that every one, was "And it was evening and it was morning the ... Day" of the seven first days of our cosmic existence, the work of our Creator Saviour God. Sabbath haters falsely allege the Seventh Day was not made up of the same physical stuff of matter-time relation equivalence of night and day because its presence in the creation story gives them the shivers for fear..
