Some are trying to persuade us to believe that Jesus' warning about the "abomination of desolation" from the Book of Daniel has already been fulfilled back in history. It has not.

Those pushing that lie saying it is past history point to a particular seminary doctrine called Preterism. They believe most all Bible prophecy, except Christ's future return, is already past history. They even believe most of the Book of Revelation was past history.

So forget getting any valid teaching of Bible prophecy from them about events of the end that Jesus gave His Church; you won't get it from Preterist Churches. The only group on men's doctrines similar to them that are worse are the 'Full Preterists' who believe Jesus' 2nd coming already happened back in the days of His Apostles! What a great way to just eliminate Lord Jesus' future return all together! Satan must love those on that false doctrine!

The false claim that the prophetic "abomination of desolation" event that Jesus gave His Church as one of the main SIGNS of the end of this world, is another type Preterist false teaching.

Even brethren in Christ that see nothing wrong with men's false doctrines from Preterism don't appear to realize what that doctrine is designed to do. Satan's workers, the children of darkness of this world, are actually using... Preterism to make Christian brethren think that it is our job assigned to us by Lord Jesus to 'create' His literal physical Kingdom here on earth... right now! meaning during this present world! What's wrong with that idea? It goes totally against Bible prophecy written in God's Word about His coming to literally END... this present world!

How silly are those then, that think they can create Christ's Kingdom here on earth today when Jesus Himself is coming to wipe the surface of this earth clean by God's consuming fire? (2 Peter 3) Apostle Peter even asked what our conversation for today should be, seeing that God is going to destroy this present world by fire!

The plan for the end of this world is a mimic of Christ's coming Kingdom on earth BEFORE Jesus returns. Satan's host are USING deceived Christian brethren to push his mimic plan for a one-world kingdom like Jesus' future literal Kingdom over all nations once He returns.

Many fear the coming time of "great tribulation" for the end of this world because of Satan's little workers deceiving the Church about what type of events are to happen during it. The majority of the world is going to be thinking, "Peace and safety" has finally... come! (1 Thess.5) Chicken in every pot. All your debts paid off. And all you have to do is take the 'mark of the beast' and/or bow to the coming false-Messiah that is going to attempt to play Lord Jesus Christ, working miracles on earth to make you believe on him to think he is Jesus Christ. It's going to be Satan himself doing that, in person, here on earth in plain sight. The whole world will marvel in wonder about him. Peoples will go crazy with ecstasy over him, like young girls did with Elvis and the Beatles.

Did you not understand all that... is what the "abomination of desolation" idol for the end of this world is going to be about?

Do you remember Apostle Paul's "strong delusion" warning of 2 Thess.2? It's about being deceived by the coming false-Christ, what Dr. James Strong in his Strong's Exhaustive Concordance called "a spurious Messiah". It ain't about the devil showing up in red flannel underwear wielding a pitchfork, a goatee and horns. Satan is not coming as his usual self. He is coming in place of Jesus Christ. He wants to be worshiped as GOD (Isaiah 14).

For some reason you neglected to mention Matthew 24:15, and its parallel synoptic verse Luke 21:20, the latter of which identifies the abomination of desolation as the armies which encircled and desolated Jerusalem in 70 AD.

FYI there's no "idol" in those verses.

I agree the abomination of desolation has not been placed in Jerusalem yet.

But
The United states armed forces do not use idols to cause desolation at the time of the end.
They use nukes to get the job done.
That is the abomination that causes desolation set up by the armed forces.
