Careful. You're going to confuse him by using scripture to back up your view. He prefers reckless assumptions and wild theories. The Greek word for "first" (as in first resurrection) is protos. It is a contracted superlative meaning foremost (in time, place, order and/or importance). So, which is the "first" (or protos) resurrection?
Which is the foremost resurrection in time?
Which is the foremost resurrection in place?
Which is the foremost resurrection in order?
Which is the foremost resurrection in importance?
Who is "the first resurrection" in Acts 26:23?
Who is "the firstborn from the dead" in Colossians 1:18?
Who is "the firstfruits of them that slept" in 1 Corinthians 15:20?
Who is "first begotten of the dead" in Revelation 1:5?
2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.Do you think those saints who were beheaded might have been killed/dead?
Revelation 20:4-6
King James Version
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished
They were bodily resurrected, but it does not say they were resurrected with immortal bodies. They couldn't have been because that would contradict 1 Corinthians 15:22-23 which says the order of resurrections unto bodily immortality was Christ's first and next in order are those who belong to Christ at His second coming. What do you think “bodies” mean???

Your problem is that Paul said the bodily resurrection of the dead in Christ that will occur at His second coming is the second resurrection in order, not the first.Your problem is with the words of God that call this physical resurrection of the dead and living in Christ the “first resurrection”
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

But I’m pretty sure those beheaded saints were dead before they were physically resurrected eh?That has been happening for thousands of years.
But I’m pretty sure those beheaded saints were dead before they were physically resurrected eh?
I thought you guys said “the first resurrection” has already taken place. Now you say it hasn’t happened yet. LolThey haven't been physically resurrected yet! None who have died shall be physically resurrected until the hour coming when the last trumpet sounds. Then ALL who are in the graves shall come out, those who have done good resurrected to life, and those who have done evil resurrected to damnation.
Yes. They will be resurrected when He comes. But I’m pretty sure those beheaded saints were dead before they were physically resurrected eh?
Scripture teaches that Jesus's resurrection was the first resurrection.
Do you not like that scripture teaches that Christ's resurrection was the first resurrection? If so, take it up with God.
What is God telling us in verse 18? Don’t change the words just read it exactly as is and you’ll see the message. Those who say the first resurrection is past already are in error. They are of Mystery Babylon= vain babblings…
2 Timothy 2:15-18
King James Version
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.”

Once you get to the heart of the Premil contradictions you get notable radio silence.I don't know if he's being deliberately obtuse, or really does not understand???

So, you you now deny that Jesus has rose from the dead? Those who say the first resurrection is past already are in error. They are of Mystery Babylon= vain babblings…
