Well, maybe...idk. I did sense some combativeness in his post. I don't really care to debate. My ministry isn't to debate (although I will discuss to a reasonable extent). My ministry is to other survivors, as well as to bring awareness to the church of how to understand and minister to victims of SRA/MK. Many are seeking freedom and the church needs to be willing to embrace and minister to them (in a compassionate nonjudgmental way).

At least some of the Book of Enoch is legitimate because Jude quoted out of the book.

1. The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed.

And he took up his parable and said--Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come.
3. Concerning the elect I said, and took up my parable concerning them: The Holy Great One will come forth from His dwelling,
4. And the eternal God will tread upon the earth, (even) on Mount Sinai, And appear from His camp And appear in the strength of His might from the heaven of heavens.
5. And all shall be smitten with fear And the Watchers shall quake, And great fear and trembling shall seize them unto the ends of the earth.
6. And the high mountains shall be shaken, And the high hills shall be made low, And shall melt like wax before the flame
7. And the earth shall be wholly rent in sunder, And all that is upon the earth shall perish, And there shall be a judgement upon all men.
8. But with the righteous He will make peace And will protect the elect, And mercy shall be upon them. And they shall all belong to God, And they shall be prospered, And they shall all be blessed. And He will help them all,And light shall appear unto them,And He will make peace with them.

How much of the Book of Enoch is believable?

I think Enoch is an excellent book...don't rightly care about what anybody think, says, or does! Lol

I happen to agree with you Truman that Enoch is an inspired script.

Since Jude wrote by inspiration, this means his source of information was the Lord, not legend or stories passed down from one generation to the next.

This statement is a clear example of simple truth. I know I've been guilty of doing a deep dive in the scripture with a presupposition that ignored some simple truths in the scripture.

I believe that the Lord, through a vision, perhaps a transportation, showed me that 1 Enoch is indeed from Him.

This is what’s interesting in Christianity and this forum specifically. Everyone has a certain interpretation.
I envy most of you here for having such abundance of visions. I just experienced white lights and a spirit in a church and that’s it.

I'm sorry, I was attempting to display humor. I've not received any visions that I'm aware of. I do not remotely believe a vision would advocate adding or taking anything away from the Holy Scriptures. No vision from God is going to have you bolt on anything to our Bible.

Pride. The thing is that when one says a vision from God would never contradict His word, it then can become a matter of interpretation. I don't expect anyone to take my word for anything. I just like talking about God and perhaps hear someone else's stories.
I've learned the hard way that I'm not the norm. If I could go back to when I started here, my first-ever social media experience, I'd probably keep most of what I've said to myself.
I've had about 5 1/2 years experience in church and almost all of that could be called renewal, where the Holy Spirit moves and visions are kinda normal. I didn't realize how vicious some people could be.
I also learned about saying that God revealed to me a few years ago that I'm Jewish. Same thing. I've since come to realize that some Christians hate Jews. My question is how can a Christian hate anybody?
