Hebrews 2
Young's Literal Translation - Going forward

1 Because of this it behoveth [us] more abundantly to take heed to the things heard, lest we may glide aside,
Verse 1: The pervious verse was asking - Not all are they ministering spirits for service, bring sent forth because of those about the inherit salvation?

Now what is being said by the Author to the Jewish people - Because of this, it behove us more abundantly

to take heed to the things heard, (Gospel - Life, death, burial, trusting, believing, faith, looking towards ~ Lord Jesus Christ - Promises of God)

least we may go astray. (Leave the Gospel and go chasing instead after worldly treasures rather than treasures in heaven and staying close to God and the Lord Jesus Christ.) Leaving the faith.

2 for if the word being spoken through messengers did become stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience did receive a just recompense,
Verse 2: For if the word being spoken through the messengers did become steadfast,

and every transgression, and

disobedience did receive a just recompense.

Recompense:
Cognate: 3405 misthapodosía (from 3408 /misthós, "reward" and 591 /apodídōmi, "return, give back") – properly, compensation corresponding to a particular decision (action). This recompense "swings both ways" – bringing a (just) reward from God for living in faith (Heb 10:35, 11:26), or divine punishment (Heb 2:2) when living in self-government.

3405 /misthapodosía ("divine compensation") is determined by God the Judge – i.e. what He personally values (note the focus on God as the Source, with apo). See also 3408 (misthós).

[3405 /misthapodosía refers to the "payment of price due" (Souter); originally, "payment of wages, recompense" (Abbott-Smith).]

3 how shall we escape, having neglected so great salvation? which a beginning receiving -- to be spoken through the Lord -- by those having heard was confirmed to us,
Verse 3: How shall we escape ; Judgement - having neglected to listen and accept in the truth of the Gospel about the life, death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ who was the Son of God. -

Which a beginning receiving - To be spoken through the Lord --

(Receiving eternal life, and resurrection, and all the promises spoken through the Lord - which people start receiving by faith that is given by God - and faith is gained more by reading the word of God - (Romans 10:17)

Which by have been confirmed to be true for us because of faith.

4 God also bearing joint-witness both with signs and wonders, and manifold powers, and distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to His will.

Verse 4: God also bearing join-witness both with signs and wonders -

God also to bears joint-witness because of all of the Signs and Wonders - and

manifold powers,

and distributions of the Holy spirit - ~ , According to Gods will. Which also bears confirmation of their faith being true by trusting in God and the Lord Yeshua.

5 For not to messengers did He subject the coming world, concerning which we speak,
Verse 5 : For not to the messengers did God subject the coming world, concerning which we speak, (The resurrection and going onward to be with God ? - coming world?)

6 and one in a certain place did testify fully, saying, `What is man, that Thou art mindful of him, or a son of man, that Thou dost look after him?
Verse 6: And one in a certain place -

did testify fully by saying -

What is man ? That though are mindful of Him?
Or a Son of Man? that Thou does look after Him?

verse 7: God did make him some little less than the messengers, with glory and honour - God though did crown your Son, and you did set your Son over the works of your Hands (Fathers hands - God)

8 all things Thou didst put in subjection under his feet,' for in the subjecting to him the all things, nothing did He leave to him unsubjected, and now not yet do we see the all things subjected to him,
Verse 8: All things (Father) did you put in subjection under the Feet of Christ - for in subjecting to

him - The Word made Flesh - Yeshua - The Son of God,

to all things, - Yeshua was tempted in all things - unlike God who is not tempted in anyway, nor does he tempt others.

nothing did God leave to him unsubjected - and not not yet do we see all things subjected to him. -

9 and him who was made some little less than messengers we see -- Jesus -- because of the suffering of the death, with glory and honour having been crowned, that by the grace of God for every one he might taste of death.
Verse 9: And Yeshua who was made some little less than messengers we see - Yeshua - because of the

suffering - suffer for the sake of Christ - living by the spirit.

of the death - with glory and honour having been crowned, that by the grace of God for everyone. (Yeshua has a name over all names, and The Lord has dominion and Govern over all cases ? For He is the judge ? And all should know that the Father, and the Son most certainly would judge justly, and they also change us in our lives -

You also can know that (We die in baptism with Yeshua Christ, and risen again spiritually when we turn our life towards Him, and have relationship with the Father, and the Son of God.

Yeshua might taste death - (pay for sins; all; world; sin, overcome death, satan, grave, (sheo'l, hell)

10 For it was becoming to Him, because of whom [are] the all things, and through whom [are] the all things, many sons to glory bringing, the author of their salvation through sufferings to make perfect,
Verse 10: For it was becoming to Him - Yeshua, because of whom are all the things

and through whom are all the things - (the Word of God - God Spoke - Word Created) God in Christ created.

Many sons to glory bringing - Bring many children - sons or daughters of God - being brought to glory -

because of the Author of their Salvation - Yeshua Christ - through sufferings to make - mature in the faith - trusting in God and the Lord. - Relationship - daily communication, prayer

~~ Second part.

11 for both he who is sanctifying and those sanctified [are] all of one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Verse 11: For both he who is sanctifying - > people who are learning to lean more on God walking by the spirit rather than the flesh

and those sanctified - > people already mature in faith - [are] all of one -

All believers are going through ups and downs in their spiritual life. God is always with us, and so is the Lord Yeshua Christ who said, don't be afraid, take courage I am here for you. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus who walk by the spirit, rather than the flesh. Sanctification is an life ongoing process.
He is not ashamed to call them brothers. - the Lord Regardless if they were being sanctified or not. is not ashamed to call them brothers.

Verse 13: And again, Yeshua - Behold I and the children that God did give me. (John 1:12)

14 Seeing, then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood, he himself also in like manner did take part of the same, that through death he might destroy him having the power of death -- that is, the devil --
Verse 14: Seeing then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood ( our human nature)

he himself is also in like manner did take part of the same

that through the death - Yeshua Christ - might destroy -> him having have the power of death

that is the devil - -

15 and might deliver those, whoever, with fear of death, throughout all their life, were subjects of bondage,
verse 15: That by defeating the devil will deliver those who are in fear and afraid of death throughout all their life, and subjected of bondage - Christ Yeshua set many people free, and heals many people, and helps people by faith, and the promises he makes, Yeshua is the expression of the Love, mercy, forgiveness, of His Father.

16 for, doubtless, of messengers it doth not lay hold, but of seed of Abraham it layeth hold,
Verse 16: For doubtless ; of messengers it does not lay hold - - but of the seed of Abraham it does mean more than the messengers and is more valuable - Trusting God - Abraham and his faith in God was unwavering.

17 wherefore it did behove him in all things to be made like to the brethren, that he might become a kind and stedfast chief-priest in the things with God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people,
Verse 17: Wherefore saying all of this; Did it behove him in all things to be made like to the brothers, and that he might become a kind and stedfast chief preist-

Yeshua is the chief priest in the things with God (His Father), to be made ( a buyback redemption from sins, and forgiveness of our sins, and seeing Yeshua as a the chief priest of all priest for Yeshua has been given a name above all names.

18 for in that he suffered, himself being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
