For the folks who don't understand the 10 tribes migrations to UK and USA: Please read the Abrahamic Covenant by E. Raymond Capt a Biblical archeologist. He uses the Bible and history to show the migrations of the tribes of Israel. When I first found out about this I got the booklet(cost about $3 online) and learned about my heritage. This information is certainly not racist, it is just the history of a scattered family. The thing I think people seem to forget is that Acts 10: 34" GOD is not a respecter of persons" so this doesn't make anyone better than anyone else. It is just some people's family heritage, and I thank GOD for revealing this mystery to us.In Christ's name I pray,blessed1195

. . .They started babbling out of their mouths and my friend and I ran out of there. It was hilarious! I knew instinctively that was not of my GOD.
I don't know who your God is but the God of the bible introduced the risen Christ to the Jews by causing the disciples of Jesus to babble in tongues!!They were left in doubt and confusion, (not instructed), some thought they were drunk. When the 120 realised this they stopped speaking to God in tongues and Peter explained that this was the receiving of the Holy Spirit (by which we receive salvation), then they understood and 300 were added. That was not a meeting where new people were invited though. For that the God of the bible says there should be 2 or 3 gifts of tongues, as a sign to the unsaved, each followed by interpretation, "all things done decently and in order" (see 1 Cor. 14).

Paul spoke of speaking in the tongue of men and of angels. These are the two tongues that are available for us to speak. I know what Paul was talking about, because I can talk in the tongue of angels.Tallman,This is the first I have ever heard of this doctrine or belief regarding the lost tribes. I am half Spanish and Jew and am what many call a crypto-Jew. One whose ancestors assumed Spanish surnames and cloistered their ancestry to escape the hand of Rome and emigrated to America many generations ago. What I've read from your link rings true in a sense, but I am still wary since there is scant information in the linked Bible study section where this belief is briefly laid out. I will have to read more before I can say what you and the others believe can be believed without doubt. But in a way, I too am in the same place. I rely on genealogical history that I cannot trace with certainty. But I also have the Holy Spirit which spoke to me of this, and then I found some facts to support what I had been told. It really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things since we are also Jews inwardly, but for me it lends more to understanding my awakening as a servant of the end of this age.

Please quote scriptue where that is written.
They were left in doubt and confusion, (not instructed), some thought they were drunk. When the 120 realised this they stopped speaking to God in tongues and Peter explained that this was the receiving of the Holy Spirit (by which we receive salvation), then they understood and 300 were added.
Acts 2:6. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.8.And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?11.Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God."So....this event isn't about "unknown" tongues as everyone there, no matter what country he was from, understood exactly what was being spoken. That is what the Holy Spirit did....he enabled whatever was being said to be understood by everyone. There was no unknown to it. That will happen again at the end of days.1 Corinthians 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. There are no more prophets as Christ said: "I have foretold you all things." To prophesy means to teach....teach what the prophets wrote.4:2 For he that speaketh in an "unknown" tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.3.But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.4.He that speaketh in an "unknown" tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. The word "unknown" is shown in italics, meaning it was added and not in the manuscripts. Paul is telling us in those scriptures that to go and speak before people in a language they don't understand is a waste of time. He goes on to say that if someone does this it is done to edify themselves....not God.So....here too we see that there is no "unknown" tongue for people to speak. There was the Pentecostal tongue that everyone could understand or there is a tongue/language in which you teach others.....if it is different than those you are teaching you should use an interpreter so they understand.
That was not a meeting where new people were invited though. For that the God of the bible says there should be 2 or 3 gifts of tongues, as a sign to the unsaved, each followed by interpretation, "all things done decently and in order" (see 1 Cor. 14).
1 Corinthians 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.40.Let all things be done decently and in order.Tongues, as used there is: #1100 and means, a naturally acquired language.Knowing that, we could understand those scriptures as: Covet, (desire,) to prophesy (teach) and don't forbid anyone to teach in a naturally acquired language. Let it all be done with no chatter, disruption but in disciplined order. It doesn't mean to speak in a language no one in the room, including the speaker, understands. Who would that profit? How or why would that be acceptable to God? ........Whirlwind

You may be a Sephardi Jew, I was told that in the concentration camps they would not associate with the Ashkenazi Jews who were considered not jews by descent but for political reasons.Probably the best book on it is "Today, Tomorrow and the Great Beyond" by John Fox.There are shorter articles & booklets here and here. You don't have to trace genealogy, the many specific prophecies are "birthmarks", only the British Commonwealth & America fulfil them. What the world calls "Israel" doesn't.I'm personally more interested in the fact that you say you've received the Holy Spirit - people can experience God's leading before they actually receive Him, whenthey do they speak in an unlearned prayer language - just like God gave a specific sigbn to Abraham and Israel for entry into the Old Covenant (circumcision). Please read Acts 2:4, 33, 39, 8:12-16, 10:44-48, 19:1-6 and decide whether you have the same. The New Covenant hasn't changed!

Please quote scriptue where that is written.So....this event isn't about "unknown" tongues as everyone there, no matter what country he was from, understood exactly what was being spoken.
You mis-understand.Tongues is unknown to the speaker, that's the whole point, to get beyond his/her understanding and allow God to minister his love, joy & peace that passes understanding.Yes people from foreign nations recognised it was real language but that does not mean it was preaching to them, on the contrary, they concluded:-Ac:2:12: And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?:13: Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.So they sounded like babblers to some. They were over-hearing others pray to God about his will for them, that's what tongues is for, it was never for preachinmg to men, though it is a sign to them, to be operated in meetings today, 2 or 3 "gifts" of tongues, each with interpretation.(whirlwind;25200)
1 Corinthians 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. There are no more prophets as Christ said: "I have foretold you all things." To prophesy means to teach....teach what the prophets wrote.
No that's words of wisdom and knowledge.Acts also shows people prophesying, and 1 Cor. 14 lists it with these and other gifts which all remain until Jesus returns.(whirlwind;25200)
The word "unknown" is shown in italics, meaning it was added and not in the manuscripts. Paul is telling us in those scriptures that to go and speak before people in a language they don't understand is a waste of time. He goes on to say that if someone does this it is done to edify themselves....not God.
Again you mis-understand.He speaks of praying in the Spirit and in the understanding also, if he prays in the Spirit his understanding is unfruitful. Praying in tongues is praying in the Spirit and this edifies. Jude also says that it builds up your most Holy faith (v20-21).Tongues is a miraculous sign, unlearned language(s) primarily for speaking to God, though it also serves as a sign to those that havn't got it.

Interesting, how do you know it's the tongue of angels?
I don't like to answer questions with another, but explaining this is like explaining how the word of the Lord comes to a servant. Just how does one know they are a servant and has received the word of the Lord?

You may have misread what I said. I was with the Lord for many years before I became aware that I was always a servant. It became clear a few years ago, and the language came at that time. But your right about the leading of God. Jeremiah was told that he was known while he was in his mothers womb, and in my experience I always knew but it was not totally clear or apparent, but when its revelation came, I looked back on my life and saw the truth of it.

If only we could speak on the phone! When I refer to speaking in tongues I mean you call on God an unrecognised words come out, your tongue is moving but your brain isn't controlling it. Do you have this?

I wouldn't put it quite that way. My spirit is speaking not my mind. I do have a vague idea of what is being said but not specifically since I am speaking to the Lord or his ministers in an angelic language. I suppose I could try to decipher it but why should I? Yes the words aren't recognized as to the exact meaning, but I do recognize recurring words and the inflection of a sentence has structure and vocalizing that can be understood in the sense that I can speak in English and say something soothing and then say something next that is filled with concern. I hope that makes sense. This is a definite language and I can assure you it does not resemble the tongues one hears in charismatic assemblies.

If I may jump in, since you are Jewish, here's a site that talks about the lost tribes from a Jewish scholar. He is not a Christian, but he has great respect for Christendom and realized that the house of Israel would adopt a different religion than the Jews according to scripture.www.britam.org

Sounds like tongues to me, except you shouldn't be speaking it to men ("his ministers"?). I don't believe you can know it's languages of angels rather than men.
