The Church tradition on interpretation of Revelation 12 is mostly from men's doctrines simply because they do not really understand Rev.12. Or, it can mean one is maybe going to a church that doesn't want... you to understand it, and how it applies for the END of this world, a church ran by one of the crept in unawares of Jude 4.
Rev.12:6 -- the symbolic "woman" is protected in the "wilderness" for "one thousand two hundred and threescore days." That represents the 1st half of the final Daniel 9:27 "one week", which is a period of 7 years. That symbolic period of a seven, which the KJV calls "one week", is for the very END of this world, not back at Christ's 1st coming which the "synagogue of Satan" wrongly teaches.
Rev.12:7-9 -- war in Heaven takes place between Archangel Michael and his angels vs. Satan and his angels. Satan and his angels lose and are kicked out of the heavenly, down to this earth. This is not about the time of Satan's original rebellion in that time of old. This is for the very END of this world. And we are to 'mark' the previous Rev.12:6 verse about the 1st half of the Dan.9:27 "one week", a period of 1260 days.
The parallel Scripture to this event of the war in Heaven for the END is given in Daniel 12...
Dan 12:1
12 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
KJV
There's 3 main events in the above Dan.12:1 verse which places that at the very END of this world:
1. "And at that time shall Michael stand up" -- link to Rev.12:7 with the war in Heaven.
2. "... and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time..." -- link to Matthew 24:21 verse pointing to the time of the "great tribulation" that Jesus revealed will happen at the END of this world.
3. "... and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book" -- that is about the day of Christ's future return to gather His saints.
Per Matthew 24:15-28, the actual time of "great tribulation" Jesus showed will begin when the "abomination of desolation" IDOL is placed in a new stone temple in Jerusalem for the END of this world. That is the event which Jesus showed will set off the time of trouble, what He called a time of "great tribulation".
In the Matthew 24:23-26 verses, the subject is actually about a 'singular' pseudo-Christ that others will say is Christ. And Jesus said don't believe it. Dr. James Strong in his Strong's Exhaustive Concordance defined Greek pseudochristos in the 24th verse as "a spurious Messiah", meaning a singular false-Messiah (See OT:5580). This links to Satan being kicked out of the heavenly down to this earth in our... dimension for the END, to play that false-Messiah, for that is the very sin which he first rebelled with against God in the beginning in the old world. That is what the coming "great tribulation" will be about, believe it, or not.
Rev.12:10-12 -- the future time at the END of this world, after the 1st half of the Daniel 9:27 symbolic "one week" of Rev.12:6, Satan and his angels are cast down to this earth to begin the time of "great tribulation". When this casting out at the END happens, then in Heaven will be said that Salvation will have come, specifically 'in Heaven', because Satan is no longer allowed there in Heaven to accuse us before God's Throne. And then mention of those who overcome Satan by The Blood of The Lamb is to show these events are NOT about Satan's original time of his fall, for Lord Jesus had not even been born in the flesh to die on the cross yet when Satan first rebelled and fell.
In Job 1 & 2, we are shown Satan and his angels appearing before God's Throne in the Heavenly dimension. That reveals that even after Satan's rebellion and fall in that old world, he was still allowed in Heaven to appear before God's Throne. After the Rev.12:7-9 event of the war in Heaven, Satan will then no longer be allowed in Heaven. He is coming literally into our earthly dimension, and that is what the Rev.12:12 verse is specifically about.
Satan is a heavenly created being, not flesh. He is a cherub which God created to guard His Throne (Ezekiel 28). And Satan has the image of man, as all the angels do. So don't allow Satan's children to toy with you mind about all this, for it is very simple what Lord Jesus revealed with this Revelation 12 chapter which starting at verse 6 is specifically about the very END of this world.
Rev.12:13-17 -- the actual time of "great tribulation" when Satan will be here on earth, in plain sight working miracles to make the whole world believe he is God, and will specifically go after the symbolic "woman" of the chapter, which represents Christ's elect saints that keep His commandments and have the Testimony of Jesus Christ, i.e., The Gospel.
Notice at Rev.12:14 is the 2nd half of the Dan.9:27 symbolic "one week" (7 years). That represents the actual time of "great tribulation", the 42 months of Rev.13:4-8 that Satan will be given power over all nations and peoples, the 42 months the Gentiles will be given to tread the "holy city" Jerusalem within the 6th Trumpet - 2nd Woe timing, the same as the latter 1260 days of the "one week" when God's "two witnesses" will prophesy against the beast for 1260 days in Jerusalem, and then killed by the 'beast' that will ascend out of the bottomless pit (i.e., Satan).
