Yeah, I figured it was something like that. Hey, you are welcome to send me some chocolates if it's as good as Godiva! :D
Godiva is lower quality than what I do.
They are very expensive and use machines to do what I do by hand.
Mine aren't as consistent (I do try to make them consistent)
But better fillings made from scratch. And my chocolate is usually a tad thicker than theirs.

Home made caramel that screams cream and butter in your mouth...
Coffee and kahlua with fine chocolate is awesome...

Orange centers made with homemade gran marnier...

Grasshopper

Chambord/blackberry filling

Turtles made with local pecans and homemade caramel...

Dried cherries turned into squares and covered.

And home made "almond joy" or mounds candy bars (coconut) covered in chocolate...they might make you spit the ones in the grocery store out....there's that huge of a difference.

Sound great, but you're really making me want some! That's cruel.

I just bought some Lindt extra dark chocolate truffles. For the price, they're not bad, but I'm sure they don't compare to your chocolates.

Yeah...
My wife likes those... well she used to until I started making them.

I can make just about anything out there...I got some round "ball" candy molds. I might use them for the coffee kahlua ones this year.
Since I'm not going to parties...it will all be porch visits this year.

Something about Christmas inspires thoughts of hearth and home and traditional values.
Many are way too busy to do anything on the hearth...
And I love giving a taste of that... even if I do cheat by having a culinary degree.

Have you ever had those Christmas calendars packed with chocolate, you would get to open one each day in the days leading up to Christmas. I cannot remember if they were 25 days or 12 days though.
I haven't! But I would welcome the opportunity!

All natural. Very dark. Mmmmmmm.

Maybe not in all, but it does sometimes taste like it hahaha.

Traditional Christmas pudding
I was reading the directions, came to this . . .

Step 4

  • Place pudding basin into a large saucepan. Pour in enough boiling water to combine halfway up the side of the pan. Place over medium heat and bring to the boil. Cook, covered, topping up with extra boiling water if necessary, for 5 hours 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the pudding comes out clean.

Traditional puddings are steamed twice; once when they are first made and then again when you want to eat it.

I haven't had Trifle since I was 15!

That was longer ago for me . . .

;)
I love trifle. All kinds; with mixed fruit or single fruit like raspberries or a mix of summer fruits. And my own version with stewed apple.
