Gaod also has favourites = HE loves His son but hates the devil imho - twinc
imo it is dangerous to ascribe feelings to God anyway, we are already told God is Love, so i would not presume to force God into a Hegelian dialectic in that manner, even though it seems legit enough i know. The reason (the same reason you cannot Quote this part) is that fighting the devil is then implied, and hate is given a place, which i don't think can be supported

you can't Quote "God hates the devil/satan/lucifer"

equally this "disciple whom Jesus loved" is a euphemism, and Scripture is not being coy so that you might eventually correctly guess which one person is the one ok.

Same with the Two Witnesses; saying you know who they are solves the puzzle
and you are revealed
