Verbal abuse has the same effect on all, especially more sensitive children. On a personal level, it took decades for me to rise above it. I thought I was backward until Jesus saved me at 33, the same age he died. He began to speak well of me and I've thrived.
Do not allow your children to abuse one another with words. They'll suffer for it.
A fool once wrote "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me".
