With his armies staging a short distance outside Jerusalem, the AC enters the yet to be built temple in Jerusalem and proclaims himself to be God. 2Thes 2:3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. This single action signals the start of a human wave which floods onto Mount Zion/ the old city of Jerusalem. After the 1260 days the two witnesses will be killed by the AC and the protection of Jerusalem will drop.
