This is why pre-trib is a terrible doctrine. It encourages people to fear the things that many Christians have been through over the past almost 2,000 years while wanting to avoid going through any kind of tribulation. So, what will they do when they do experience tribulation? Will they denounce their faith because they think they aren't supposed to experience any tribulation?
Exactly! What about the early Church persecution? What about the 40 million believers martyred by the Roman Catholic church?

When Jesus returns it is the 'end of this world'
Read in context, whole chapter, anyone can see that

This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you, in both of which I stir up your purity of mind by way of remembrance,

2 that ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,

3 knowing this first: that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts

4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”

5 For of this they are willfully ignorant: that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water,

6 whereby the world as it then was, being overflowed with water, perished.

7 But the heavens and the earth which now are, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing: that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. The earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy manner of living and godliness,

12 looking for and hastening unto the coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation, even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given unto him, hath written unto you,

16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things. Therein are some things hard to understand, which those who are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing that ye know these things beforehand, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

18 But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

v24-27 is the rapture, and it is after the great tribulation, and after the false antichrist prophet who shows signs and wonders to deceive the deceivable. Jesus teaches no other gathering of HIS elect believing people.

21 And then if any man shall say to you, ‘Lo, here is Christ!’ or, ‘Lo, He is there!’ believe him not;

22 for false christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

23 But take ye heed; behold, I have foretold you all things.

24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, ‘the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

25 and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.’

26 And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 And then shall He send His angels and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

"Jesus teaches no other gathering of his elect people"

Matthew 24 has 2 separate gatherings. (Ironically...TAUGHT BY JESUS)
One ,postrib, WITH angels sent TO GATHER. ( Jesus stays...sends angels), so we know that CAN NOT POSSIBLY be the Rapture. 100% impossible.
The other coming , TAUGHT BY JESUS, (that is never in a postrib workbook) is "before the flood, normal life and everyday activities, with commerce,one taken, o n e left behind watch and be ready"
( which VIVIDLY, VIVIDLY depicts a PRETRIB RAPTURE.)

The third coming, which is never in any post tribber workbook, is revelation14 and verse 14, where Jesus is sitting on a cloud, holding a sickle, and gathering the elect.
That's the third one that you say does not exist and that Jesus never taught.

all 3 of those Comings are distinct, and separate.
They lineup perfectly with God's purpose.

that's the key missing ingredient; that you do not know the purpose of the rapture, you don't know the purpose of the groom coming for the bride and what that purpose is.

you don't know the purpose of the tribulation, you don't know the purpose of the Antichrist, you don't know the purpose of the Jewish people gathered, you do not know who the 144000 are, their distinct ethnic dynamic, and what they're purposes which is, or the main Jewish harvest, AFTER FIRSTFRUIT JEWS ARE HARVESTED IN REV 14, as prophesied in roman's chapter 9 through 11.

you're just tribulations, centered. All you can think about is the great tribulation. And how you're gonna stock up with can goods.
Postribbers have that exact prism, inspite of the bible.
Tons and tons of omissions, and actually reframing verses.
It is sad, and has left you guys with TOTAL misunderstanding OF END TIMES PURPOSE.
GOD'S PURPOSE.

BTW, YOUR ONLY verse of "after the trib"....when you post it, you are TESTIFYING, that that gathering is not including Jesus himself.( Jesus sends angels and excludes himself)
You guys BUILT AN ENTIRE DOCTRINE, BASED ON A GATHERING EXCLUDING JESUS, and are oblivious to it.

BIZARRE

It is just a further explaining of the same rapture event, not a seperate rapture....How many raptures? How many gatherings?

There is only ONE...
One coming of Christ yet to come, and One gathering to Him, there is nothing else.

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together unto Him,

2 that ye be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as if from us that the Day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means, for that Day shall not come, unless there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,

4 who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sitteth as God in the temple of God, showing himself to be God.

5 Remember ye not that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth, that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now holdeth back will hold him back, until he is taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming—

9 even him, whose coming is according to the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 and with all the deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,

12 that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you for salvation, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,

14 whereunto He called you by our Gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold to the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word or our epistle.

16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God even our Father, who hath loved us and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.

And that is what the angels say, for further confirmation!

In the former treatise, O Theophilus, I have given an account of all that Jesus began both to do and teach

2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He had given commandments through the Holy Ghost unto the apostles, whom He had chosen.

3 To these also He showed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen by them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, “which,” saith He, “ye have heard from Me;

5 for John truly baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”

6 When they therefore had come together, they asked of Him, saying, “Lord, wilt Thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?”

7 And He said unto them, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the Father hath put in His own power.

8 But ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

9 And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

11 who also said, “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into Heaven.”

12 Then they returned unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a Sabbath day’s journey.

13 And when they had come in, they went up into an upper room where abode both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James.

When He comes again a second time, He comes with clouds, just as was shown to the apostles when He ascended

Revelation 1:7
Behold, He cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and they also who pierced Him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so. Amen.

Mark 13:26
And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Mark 14:62
And Jesus said, “I am; and ye shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”

Luke 21:27
And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This cloud is a divine sign of God, pointing to His authority and divine nature.
Luke 9:34
While he thus spoke, there came a cloud and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.
Luke 9:35
And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, “This Is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!”
Nope.
Not even close.
"After the tribulation he sends His angels to gather"
Extremely plain. Very deliberate in TIMING .
Precisely stated by Jesus.
No mistake that He describes and states TIMING.
Reread Matthew 24
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Now just as clear and unmistakable, we see TIMING OF A SEPARATE COMING.
We know for a fact it is separate.
IT IS PREFLOOD. The exact wording is "....the days BEFORE THE FLOOD"
A GATHERING. PREFLOOD GATHERING.
PRETRIB GATHERING.
Then He further DESCRIBES THE SETTING.
"NORMAL LIFE, EVERYDAY LIFE, COMMERCE, PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE.
( In no way does ANY OF THAT fit your theory)
Reread Matthew 24
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
So clear and vivid.
To top it off, we see a third coming in Rev 14:14 that is decisively OPPOSITE your model.
3 clear and separate comings from the Bible you are unable to honestly challenge.
That is why you sidestep it.
Hebrews 9, Christ is currently in the holy places seated at the Father's right hand....
This is where He is until He comes a second time.
24 For Christ has not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.
25 Nor yet should He offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place with blood of others every year;
26 for then would He have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once, in the end of the world, hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the Judgment,
28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto those who look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin, unto salvation.
No third time coming anywhere in scripture
Another example
Where He is in heaven with God, He must remain until God sends Him the second time
Christ died, was resurrected, ascended to God's right hand where He remains until the second coming and then the judgment occurs.
Acts 3
17 “And now, brethren, I know that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18 But those things which God before had shown by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He hath thus fulfilled.
19 Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
20 Then He shall send Jesus Christ, who before was preached unto you,
21 whom Heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, ‘A Prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you from your brethren, like unto me; Him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever He shall say unto you.
23 And it shall come to pass that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be destroyed from among the people.’
24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25 Ye are the children of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, ‘And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.’
26 Unto you first, God, having raised up His Son Jesus, sent Him to bless you in turning every one of you away from his iniquities.”
Greetings Spiritual Israelite,
The faithful will be raised from the dead when Jesus returns, as stated above, "afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming" and they will receive immortality and reign with Jesus upon the earth for the 1000 years. This is the first resurrection. The second will be at the end of the 1000 years.
Kind regards
Trevor
KJV 1 Thes. 4
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a SHOUT, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain
shall be CAUGHT UP together with them
in the CLOUDS, to MEET the Lord IN THE AIR:
and so shall we EVER BE WITH the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Where does it say
anything about the Lord Himself, the dead in Christ risen from sleep, and we who are alive and remain, who are CAUGHT UP together with them IN THE AIR, are to RETURN and then reign with Christ on this CURSED EARTH for another 1000 years??
IT DOESN'T!!
It simply says:
and so shall we ever be WITH the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these
[above] words.
To KNOW that I won't have to RETURN to this CURSED earth again,....that indeed is a "comfort".
Acts 3
20 Then He shall send Jesus Christ, who before was preached unto you,
21 whom Heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
The times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began, is entirely missed by so many as to what that is...it is the age of the resurrection, the world to come.
There is no third NEW Earth, third New Heaven, just the first one, then the second one...
The resurrection of the wicked and the just....
Acts 24:15
I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.
There is a one time ressurection of ALL, together at the SAME TIME!
Life and Judgment Are Through the Son
24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.
28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
30 I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.
Luke 20
The Sadducees: What About the Resurrection?
27 Then some of the Sadducees, who deny that there is a resurrection, came to Him and asked Him, 28 saying: “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies, having a wife, and he dies without children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 29 Now there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and died without children. 30 And the second [g]took her as wife, and he died childless. 31 Then the third took her, and in like manner the seven [h]also; and they left no children, and died. 32 Last of all the woman died also. 33 Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife does she become? For all seven had her as wife.”
34 Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
37 But even Moses showed in the burning bush passage that the dead are raised, when he called the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ 38 For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.”
39 Then some of the scribes answered and said, “Teacher, You have spoken well.” 40 But after that they dared not question Him anymore.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a SHOUT, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain
shall be CAUGHT UP together with them
in the CLOUDS, to MEET the Lord IN THE AIR: and so shall we EVER BE WITH the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Where does it say
anything about the Lord Himself, the dead in Christ risen from sleep, and we who are alive and remain, who are CAUGHT UP together with them IN THE AIR, are to RETURN and then reign with Christ on this CURSED EARTH for another 1000 years??
IT DOESN'T!!
It simply says:
and so shall we ever be WITH the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these
[above] words.
To KNOW that I won't have to RETURN to this CURSED earth again,....that indeed is a "comfort".
Yes, when Christ comes again is the ressurection and the judgment of all.
Then we get the New Earth
Peter writes “Where is the promise of His coming?
The Apostle Peter tells us Jesus is coming again a second time, the age to come will be the age of the resurrection and restoration of all things, with the NEW EARTH
ACTS 3:20, Peter, and all the scriptures makes it clear, as does Christ what happens at the return of Christ
Christ remains seated at the right hand until....
Mark 12:36
For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’
And that He may send [to you] the Christ (the Messiah), Who before was designated and appointed for you—even Jesus,
AMPC
Whom heaven must receive [and retain] until the time for the complete restoration of all that God spoke by the mouth of all His holy prophets for ages past [from the most ancient time in the memory of man].
Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), 2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of [a]us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and [b]perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward [c]us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
The Day of the Lord
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be [d]burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
