The flight from reason: the evolution of birds
220px-Pluvialis_fulva_-Bering_Land_Bridge_National_Preserve%2C_Alaska%2C_USA-8.jpg

Imagine if you will, the following situation:

A new plane flies from Hawaii, travels across 2,800 miles of heaving Pacific ocean where no landmarks are, and lands in Alaska.

There, to everyone’s surprise, it manufactures 4 or 5 new planes, then flies off back to Hawaii.

When inspectors go on board, they are astonished to find no pilot, no navigational system (GPS), nothing like it.

Even more astonishing, two or so weeks later, the planes that were manufactured in Alaska, all arrive in Hawaii, and they too have no GPS, and no pilots.

How could this possibly happen, they all ask.

One inspector concluded: this just happened all by itself.

The rest of the inspectors laugh him to scorn.

What would you do, dear reader? Say the first inspector was right? Or that the rest of the inspectors were right?

I hope you would agree with the rest of the inspectors, and think the first one was an absolute fool.

WHAT’S THIS GOT TO DO WITH EVOLUTION?

It has everything to do with it.

The story was not entirely fictitious, merely clothed with a few colours.

You see, the Pacific Golden Plover does exactly that.

It flies off from Hawaii, and crosses the Pacific ocean, all 2,800 miles of heaving, violent water, with no waymarks or landmarks in sight, and lands in Alaska.

There it breeds, laying its eggs, and sitting on them till they hatch, feed and grow to a reasonable size. Then to everyone’s astonishment, the parents fly up and re-cross the Pacific in about 5 days, returning to those tiny little Hawaiian islands. With no known navigational help whatsoever.

Then, even more astonishingly, the young plovers fly up, and cross the Pacific ocean too, 2,800 miles of it, back to Hawaii, where they have never been before.

An error of a mere degree or so, would cause them all to drown in the ocean, and float there belly-up forevermore, or at least until they were eaten.

Every one of these trips carries with it the risk of species extinction, since ALL the adults, and ALL the young make that terrible journey. One degree off course, and the whole species is finished.

But they’re still here after heaven alone knows how many centuries.

Therefore, their navigational system works with an extraordinary degree of accuracy and precision.

But nobody has found a little piece of their brain which contains a GPS. So how do they do it?

More importantly, how did they BEGIN doing it? And then, how did the behaviour enter their genomes? It must be there somewhere, because it's passed down from one generation to the next.

Evolution has no answer, and that single failure destroys the whole theory.

Why?

Because if a scientific theory cannot account for a major fact or series of facts, then it must be either modified, or abandoned.

This is only one example of migration. There are hundreds of others all screaming for an explanation. Which never comes.

The only theory that can account for this phenomenon is that God implanted the necessary information in their beautiful little heads, into a brain the size of a walnut.

How else could this have come to pass, dear evolutionists?

It is almost impossible to look at nature and not see God.

The evolutionists still cant explain why a rattlesnake has rattles,or how a fox can change colors,or how about a talking parrot.

Nice OP, enjoyed the read.

After millions and millions of years of failed flight paths, the correct co-ordinates will be known, duh. Then miraculously they will know there way back home. The real question though goes back to how exactly birds learnt to fly.

One thing that really makes me laugh about evolution is that we are the product of millions and millions of years of evolution . We cannot fly like a bird. We cannot run like a cheetah. We cannot fall from heights like a cat. We are not as strong as an ant. We don't have gills. We don't have tails for balancing. We don't regrow body parts like a lizard. The only things we have going for us is a longer lifespan and improved brain. Our future looks bad. If evolution is true we are heading towards bigger heads and wheelchairs. We better get evolutionists to start evolving flight by jumping off buildings flapping their arms.
