"Depending on the choke, buckshot loads in a 12-gauge shotgun can be effective against a human adversary out to 60 or 70 meters. However, in a cylinder-bore shotgun, the effective range of, for example, #00 buckshot is 40–50 meters. Beyond that range, the pattern is so wide that a reliable hit is not guaranteed. "

(Source: How Far Will A 20 Gauge Shotgun Shoot?)

Got any neighbors who live within 70 yards of you?

No.

BTW, a 9mm bullet fired from a handgun can travel up to 1.5 miles (2.5 km). Please, people, don't fire guns unless you know where the bullet is going to go. This public safety announcement is brought to you by Christianity Board. Loving People. Living Community.

Good advice. Easy for a pacifist to follow. I haven’t fired a gun since 1978 or 1979. Squirrel hunting. Boyd County, KY. Didn’t get any. Obliterated a hornet’s nest. Ran for my life. Lived to tell the tale.

The last time I violated firearms safety rules, I ended up destroying an HP 6000-series printer. Oh, well. It needed killin'.

I was lucky; it could've been a lot worse.

Since when did two wrongs make a right?
You defend what Islam did by citing other wrongs?
I am not defending Islamic violence.
I am not defending ANY violence, period.

I was pointing at Christian violence during the reformation.
But of course you ignored that.

No, I was pointing at Christian violence during the reformation.
But of course you ignored that.
I replied to that too.
I said that the actual reformation caused all the violence in Europe.
We have AI now...look it up..it's very easy.
Of course, one has to trust AI, but that's a different topic.

What I do know is that you and others blame the CC for everything.
Easy scapegoat.
Learning some history would be a much needed improvement.

What nonsense.
Christian violence history has nothing to do with my personal feelings.
History is history, live with it.
In case your forgot...
here is what you posted:

The Roman Catholic Church raped, murdered, tortured and burned etc. all over Europe before and during the reformation. Not to mention the abuse in North America of the native population after the arrival of Columbus.
Plus the sexual abuse during later years not too long ago.

Lots of feeling in the above.
As is usual for you.

And,,,I remind you that I am NOT Catholic...
It's just good to get history straight.

Many are NOT Christians BECAUSE of the Catholic Church.
I hope that rings a bell.
Many are leaving Protestantism to become Catholic due to all the debating about doctrine.

So..what did we just prove?
Nothiing.

Well I guess the American public school system ignored the historical facts.
You learned about Christian history from the public school system?
That is just great to know.

That makes everything OK.

Is it the same institution that taught that God does not exist...
that the universe had a beginning...
that some boys are really girls....
that having intimate relations with anyone is fine because we're just another animal?

Yup I posted that.
I posted HISTORY.
Again...

You forgot to post that the REFORMATION CAUSED all that bloodshed in Europe.

At the time to which you're referring, of course.
There always has been blood shed and there always will be till Jesus comes back.

Lol. You don't have a clue do you.
Roman Catholic Church killed 1000's of people during the Bartholomeus Night in France.
1000's were burned at the stake across Europe, for the simple reason they rejected the Pope in Rome.
Read some history. Go to a library and educate yourself.

The Actes and Monuments (full title: Actes and Monuments of these Latter and Perillous Days, Touching Matters of the Church), popularly known as Foxe's Book of Martyrs, is a work of Protestant history and martyrology by Protestant English historian John Foxe, first published in 1563 by John Day.

It includes a polemical account of the sufferings of Protestants under the Catholic Church, with particular emphasis on England and Scotland. The book was highly influential in those countries and helped shape lasting popular notions of Catholicism there.

Hatred is an ugly thing.
I really dislike calvinism...have good reasons.
But I don't feel hate.
You have always hated the CC.
Times were what they were.
Protestants have burned people alive too,
and other atrocities.

Why are we discussing who did the worst to who?
We're living in 2026 now.

If you wish to remain in the dark ages...
so be it.
