"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."
"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist."
"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."
An antichrist is someone who has gone out from the doctrine of the apostles to establish their own faith and vain worship in another god, while yet continuing to offer up lip-service to the name of Jesus. They speak only with words of mouth of Jesus Christ coming in the flesh, but they do lie, for they confess not from the heart Jesus as Lord, and so deny Him with the Father. They 'honor' Him in word and tongue, but not in deed and truth. (Matthew 15) (1 John 3)
To deny the Word was with God and was God, is to deny both the Father and the Son as God.
The current antichrists here vainly speak of Jesus with their lips, while worshipping with their heart another god they call 'Jehovah'.
The mystery of iniquity and of that man of sin is that the hidden thoughts and intents of the heart (Heb 4) are not honestly shown, but are kept secret for purposes of his own doing. While his heart is far from the Lord Jesus, he continues to honor Him with his lips for affect (Gal 4), for the sole purpose of possibly seducing the elect (Mark 13) and proselytizing them to his own made up faith and false worship. (Matthew 23)(2 Thess 2)
The only problem with these little antichrists, is that their efforts are so transparently silly, than any child of the faith of Jesus can readily see through their lip-service and pompous smokescreen of much Greek and humanistic questionings.
