When we repent of our sin, our troubles dissipate. I always wonder why it bothers people so much.

because you dont seem to acknowledge the seriousness of sin, you dismiss sinning like its so simple to not do, and anytime you talk about repentance its only in the context of this life. All of those things are what uncaring, unsaved people say.
When you sin, do you feel bad about it?
Do you ever think that you, a creation from the dirt, has ever gone against a perfect God? Does that not bother you?
Im not saved, and yet those are things i worry about. Daily.

Yes, John Doe's sin has a seriously negative effect on those around John Doe. He sins anyway.

Eventually John Doe discovers John Doe's sin has a seriously negative effect on John Doe. Will he repent of his sin then?

lets say john doe looks at porn, at home, by himself. No one ever had a “serious negative effect” just by looking at porn. Is that a sin? Should he repent? What if he doesnt feel remorse?
I suppose i should ask too what do you think is involved with repentance? Like how do you do it?

Even with my limited wisdom and knowledge, I know looking at porn is harmful. It creates a desire in you to commit a greater sin. It robs you of the peace you have.

Every person in Heaven will be a Sinner .....
The soul that sins shall die.

Study Ezekiel 18:20-27 in your KJV to better understand this.

In this passage, God says (through Ezekiel) that those who sin are wicked.

He makes clear that sinning is wickedness.

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity (sin) of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness (sinning) of the wicked shall be upon him.

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes (10 Commandments), and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die."
Ezekiel 18:20-21

"But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity (sin), and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die."
Ezekiel 18:24

"Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness (sins) that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive."
Ezekiel 18:27

Did you see that? Did you see who God said would save their soul???

This entire passage contradicts everything you and Sinner have been preaching here.

And this concept is active, and repeated, throughout the entire Bible. OT AND NT.

It’s a shame that you can’t graduate from Judaism to Christianity.....You'd make A great Rabbi! Everything you offer up is from the Age of Law ......A System That even God knew was “beggarly” ...He “ Found Fault” with it to the extent that he came up with a “ New and Better Plan” .....Stay stuck in the Dispensation Of Law That Christians no longer have to exist in....It was a System That was “ Weak” in that it had “ NO POWER TO SAVE!”

God’s Improved “ Deal” or Covenant actually has *THE POWER* to Save.....It's the Good News Of Faith in the Blood Of Jesus Plus NOTHING to do everything that the Law could never accomplish...Adherence to the Law will make you more Moral which is not a bad thing in and of itself—- it just won’t Save you....Hell will be Chock- Full Of “ Moral “ Good Neighbor Sams.....If your Doctrine is stuck in the days of Ezekiel and does not give 100% credit for your Salvation to Jesus Christ and give ALL the Glory to Him......you got a problem....Ezekiel was a great prophet in the Age of Law for the Jews of his day living in a faulty Covenant—- you ain’t a Jew and you ain’t loving in an Age BEFORE the Cross.....the Cross changed everything....You need a lot less of Ezekiel and a TON more of Paul....* HE* is God’s “ Chosen Vessel” to reveal proper Doctrine in regard to Salvation for men and women today .....God revealed Mysteries Through Paul That Ezekiel was unaware of...Learn from “ any” Old Testament Prophet , But get your Christian Doctrine Through Paul....

Jesus said to “ Follow Paul”.......Peter admitted that everything that Paul wrote was “ Scriptural” ....Let the Jews follow Ezekial and the other great Prophets of God ......as for you? YOU need to “ Follow Paul” .....as he followed Christ....

If you think that your “ Concept” Of a man “cleaning up his act” or “ Turning over a New Leaf” is the Recipe for Salvation you are as far Removed from the New Covenant means of Salvation as one
can get....

The proper “ Concept” Of The New Testament is not making yourself “ Worthy” Of Heaven by straightening up and becoming a Good Boy.....The Concept Of The New Testament is that Jesus “ took on” your wickedness and paid the price for ALL of your sins and wickedness on the Cross.....That way, Jesus gets ALL the Glory for your Salvation and you get absolutely NONE—- just the way it ought to be.....just the way God demands it....

You believe the Gospel Of Pure Grace Found In 1Cor 15 :1-4 in order to get Saved in this present Age of Grace, and that Gospel is NOT what YOU do for God — it’s what God has done for Sinful , Wicked and Lost men....

[37] And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
[38] This is the great and first commandment. Matthew 22:37-38 RSV

So how does one “love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind”?
In spirit.

Ezekiel 18:29 - But the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not right.' Are My ways not right, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are not right? But the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not right.' Are My ways not right, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are not right?

Ezekiel 33:13 - When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his OWN righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die.

"If he trusts in his OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS." *This is the heart of the matter here.*

This is describing a righteousness which is by the law rather than that which is by faith. The New Testament states in Romans 10:3 - "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that BELIEVES.

Yeah, I guess you're right.

I guess God supernaturally wrote the 10 Commandments IN STONE with His own finger TWICE to symbolically show how transient they were; how temporary they were in His eyes.

Rest assured in your wisdom.

Oh, thank you. I almost forgot to reply to that.

His Ezekiel 33:13 verse there "obliterates" his whole post.

Yes, and you'd be just as wrong.

Apparently you missed this in your own post.

This destroys your point.

When one trusts themselves, instead of God, and sins (breaks the 10 Commandments), they have not committed themselves to the righteousness of God.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) which destroys your your point. You have not flawlessly obeyed the 10 commandments so come down off your high horse.

ONLY Jesus Christ has flawlessly obeyed the 10 commandments. When one trusts in imperfect obedience/law keeping they trust in themselves.

Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who BELIEVES. You remind me of the Israelites in (Romans 10:1-4). Difference in style but same in substance.

Straw man.

Nobody made that claim and it doesn't matter if I do or not. In my heart and efforts, I'm still following Christ's example and He obeyed them flawlessly. John 15:10

James 3:2 allows for stumbling to those who give sincere effort.
ONLY Jesus Christ has flawlessly obeyed the 10 commandments. When one trusts in imperfect obedience/law keeping they trust in themselves.
Straw man.

Nobody made that claim and it's irrelevant because I trust in Christ's Spirit who indwells me; enabling me, empowering me, and giving me the desire, to obey.
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who BELIEVES.
Yep, we're not under Law when we're not breaking the Commandments by living in habitual sin and rebellion. Jesus and the Father come to live inside of us to help us with our efforts when we truly love them and strive to obey the Commandments.
John 14:21-23
