I caught the tail end of a news report a few months ago. A country is spending a fortune to make an overpass,animal crossing, crossing over main highway so to keep migrating animals and drivers safe.
Talk about driver distractions. "Look up there honey! It's a herd of Elk!"
There is an underpass on a road not far from me for cows to go from one pasture to another .

That's our wildlife bridge...Los Angeles area. Too many of our mountain lions were getting killed crossing one of our freeways....ten lanes of traffic. The wildlife bridge will connect two wilderness areas.
All of the funding for the expensive wildlife bridge is private donations.
