* I always look at diplomas if they’re posted in a doctor’s office. A few years ago I visited a new dentist. While I waited I read his diploma. It said he graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. I graduated from the University of Kentucky. The in-state rivalry in sports is intense. He briefly explained what he would be doing during the simple procedure and asked if I had any questions. I told him that I went to UK and then jokingly asked if that would make any difference. He paused, smiled, and said “Let’s get started and find out.” We laughed, he gave me a shot to numb the tooth and then filled the small cavity. I’ve been going to his office twice a year ever since. *
