As I noted in the past, there are some that believe we should follow our hearts back to God and a better self. Others believe we should carefully consider ideas before believing them. Mind, heart body and soul we are given. We should use our entire being as God delivers us in life, protection, gifts of knowledge and wisdom.

Perhaps there are two hearts struggling to win us over, God or Satan. God is good, the other dark.

While it is true we can be tempted in worldly ways, the serpent, tempter is in fact a dark spirit.

New age counseling can deceive people using mis-guided guilt, emotions, thoughts, etc.

Mankind and their ways are often flawed, especially in todays world.

The term I remember is "guess we're going on a guilt trip, hope the trip ends soon" when someone is pleading emotionally to get someone to feel guilt for doing something they see as good or correct or not doing something they want.

Parents can struggle and even feel guilty when their beloved child cries when they're not given extra candy or another toy. Balanced portions and living within our means is important in responsible parenting.

False beliefs often are presented with an emotional amount. Bhuddist, Hindu, Asian Folk religions and other beliefs are things I am still studying, along with Christianity as part of my learning.

Fasting in prayer hurts, and is necessary for most Christians. Emotional feelings, or the heart of the matter can make us fall short if it is our wants, needs or desires to relieve the suffering of the hunger brought on by a good fast. We become more spiritual in fasting and prayer. The true heart of the matter is denying self to help others. We seek less selfishness and enjoy works of charity as Christians.

Thoughts?

I think our hearts are naturally wicked. I think that even though we get regenerated hearts as believers, we can still put on the old wicked heart again. We have to renew our minds with Scripture so we don't put on the flesh God saved us from.

I am not a Bible teacher nor do I have authority but my belief is that we must stop sinning. Im aware that many teach that you can never stop on earth. But I believe the Lord taught us otherwise. We make our tree good so we produce good fruit.

Jerimiah17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things
and beyond cure.
Who can understand it?

It is God who judges our intentions, he knows how we deceive ourselves into thinking we do not sin.

What is sin?
Literally it is missing the mark.
What is the mark?
100% obedience to Gods law.
Read the sermon on the mount for how Jesus applies the law and then say you do not sin!

In discussions about the paths of the Christian heart and worldly temptations, it's easy to get lost in moral reflection, and I often caught myself doing this. To refocus and apply my concentration skills in a different way, I studied push advertising cases, particularly casino campaigns in the Czech Republic, through more reading and noticed the importance of precise targeting. This helped me structure my thoughts and apply discipline to my personal habits.

I strongly believe that a sincere path to God is often connected to discipline — be it fasting, prayer, or self-improvement. Sometimes, giving up unnecessary things helps one see what's truly in the heart, without the distractions of "sweet" distractions. And yes, guilt can also be a tool of manipulation if used incorrectly, so it's important to distinguish between a healthy conscience and an imposed emotion.

Thank you for that inspired message.

Along those lines and giving up unnecessary things, there is good and evil. When to let go and when to hold on. Who to hold onto, where to locate, etc. Let God's holy, virtuous, good spirit lead us thru the times of sorrows, towards and along living, safe paths with actions/inactions towards him, the God of life and eternal life.

He will be a light to our unkown areas, lack of understanding, knowledge and wisdom. God confounds the proud using foolish to do that. God leads us out of doubts, and dangerous, and suspicious areas that may be placed in our way. He will guide us, protect us from accidents, injuries, illnesses and the enemies of God including the evil one. We call on the Lord to rebuke the evil ones. He overcame death and hell and knows us each uniquely and individually as well as together. God certainly knows how to deliver his people.

There are certain times for fasting, prayers, charity and honoring God thru sacrifices and effort towards him and his creations and people. Donating to the poor, ill, afflicted, sorrowful was of course his direction. Knowing when, where and who to help. Always praying for his spirit to be with us and guide us.

We donate time possessions/properties and other resources, including people that follow our direction to aid in God's great and eternal glory, the eternal life of body and spirit, mankinds soul. Lighting up the knowledgable, wise ways for people to be with God in peace, love and happiness together in service of each other, sharing with each other our most important offerings of time, possessions and efforts. Works meet for daily repentance, which is directing us always away from evil ways along a good and holy path.

From the heart is what God loves he says, a cheerful giver, fasting that way also. Prayer then too? We express are sorrows and suffering during troubling times and also happiness and thankfulness during good times.

Cheers,

Devin, @aka @Raccoon1010
