The inner man lives behind a wall or barrier...or mountain. He hides within us...fearful in his nakedness and vulnerability.

This sounds more like Gnostic nonsense that Bible truth.

How can the inner man hide behind a wall, be fearful, naked and vulnerable, when the inner man is "CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY"?

It seems to me that you are desperately trying to concoct your own theology so that you are regarded as a New Age Guru.
