Behold- try and be more reasonable. We all know that we are under grace. No one on this thread thinks they can earn their own salvation- so stop accusing others falsely please. It's a disgrace. Paul said a lot of things- context ALWAY matters-and so do all of his words-You need to get away from the OT Law & Commandments given by MOSES, and only Teach "CHRIST CRUCIFIED" as God's ONLY Salvation.
And until you do that, you are defined by the NT, as this..
A Heretic according to Paul.... and a Galatians 1:8., and that is a divine curse.
Currently your THREADS AND POSTS.... are defined by Jesus as a DARK LIGHT...Luke 11:35, and by TITUS 3:10, as someone who is to be strictly and continually avoided by other Christians.
That a fact.
So, read those verse as they will be something brand new for you to experience, @LoveYeshua
Exactly...
The 10 Commandments and all of Moses 613 LAWS were given to OLD TESTAMENT JEWS...
They are not given to the Blood of Christ REDEEMED New Testament CHURCH, that is made up of Born again Christians.
See, we dont need OT Moses LAW, as we have GOD's SON's Redemption, as our SALVATION.
So, How can you not understand that there are NO CHRISITANS found when Jesus was talking to the JEWS.. (the house of Israel) only... during His Ministry?
its because you are a fake teacher, who has no understanding of the NT, or of the Blood of Jesus and what Jesus has finished on the Cross.
You're Theologically CLUELESS, and prideful about it...
You are not a real student of the NT, which is why you have no idea what the blood Atonement has accomplished for ALL BELIEVERS, FOREVER..
So, Start here, and learn from PAUL.......
The Born again... are "NOT UNDER THE LAW , but under (God's) Grace".
and.....>"Christ is the END OF THE LAW....for Righteousness, to/for, everyone who BELIEVES"... (Trusts in Christ for Salvation).
@LoveYeshua .... you literally dont understand this at all, and that is why you keep trying to place the Old Covenant MOSES LAW over the Cross of Christ, and over the New Covenant.... and that false teaching and false Gospel, that is Galatians 1:8, is not going work out for you. @LoveYeshua
he also said this---
Romans 13
8Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
and Paul said this-
Gal 5
13For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!
Paul is in perfect alliance with John and James- and the Lord.
James 2:8-
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;
Matthew 22:40
In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.
1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
Clearly, Paul is said that we are to FULFILL THE LAW- by loving others. THAT IS what he said. So, if you want to delete the 10 commandments- I'm going to say that what Paul taught is that we are to fulfill them through love- love is the spirit behind all of the 10 commandments after all- is it not?
Obeying the commands is impossible without a changed heart- being born anew we can SEE that the whole point of the commands was always LOVE. WE are not under ceremonial law but we indeed are to LOVE.
Anyone can not murder someone while they hate him and hold anger against him in their heart- they have murdered him- according to JESUS.
Or do you not understand this? Only the love in our hearts from God above can help us to fulfill the law through love. This is true with the other commands. Love fulfills them! SO while we are not under the law so that it kills us- we are under a new command to LOVE- which really isn't new but is old. Yes we are under GRACE- and we are also UNDER THE COMMAND TO LOVE.
Is it really a coincidence that Love does not murder, hate, commit adultery, lust after, steal, lie-- etc...........? Of course not- The law is written on our hearts- and our hearts now can SEE that the commands are about LOVE. No one can save themselves by obeying the law- we need faith in Jesus first and foremost- but if we ALSO love God and neighbor we will fulfill what the commands purpose was and that is to love. It is not a helpful suggestion to love- it is commanded. We don't need a list of rules anymore- we know how to LOVE.
ALSO-
You're right when you say Paul called the law a curse- he was dismantling the Judaizers who were relying on works of the law to save them and demanding that Gentiles must obey the law of circumcism and also feast days. He was exposing the futility of legalism. Paul’s is explaining that adopting even a slice of the law obligates the whole law. He was making a point- obey all of the law or bust. No one can- it's a curse if you think you can save yourself by the law. PAUL was not saying the law of Moses is a curse in the way you do. Paul knew full well that the law is holy , spiritual and good- and so should you.
Romans 7
7What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” 8But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. 9I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. 12Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.
13Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. 14For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Try to get your head on straight. It's great that you point people to the cross as we all should- but never negate the command to love which fulfills the law- performance does matter- it shows who you are. If you are saved- there should be a changed heart and a desire to serve the Lord in love.
Without love you can have all the faith in the world and you have nothing.
FAITH WORKING THRU LOVE IS WHAT MATTERS.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love. Galations 5:6
