This is one of the reasons that the Jews rejected him then and today.

Jesus identified Himself as God, when He told the Pharisees.....>"Before Abraham was....... I AM".

"I Am", is the name that God applied to Himself, when Moses was talking to the burning Bush, and said......."what is your name'...

A.) "I Am, that I AM"

So, when Jesus ID'd Himself as God, "I AM"< then they wanted to Kill Jesus.
Eventually they persuaded Pilate to carry out their desirie that Jesus die.

Isn't Luke 3 Mary's lineage?
Matthew lists Joseph's.
Luke is Mary's- beginning with Joseph listed as son of Heli thru his marriage to Mary, since women were not recorded. So Heli was Mary's father.
Matthew lists Jacob as Josephs father.
I could be wrong.. but that's what I thought.
Yep. Mixed them up. Thanks

"God manifested in the Flesh".

"The Word became Flesh, and dwelt among us".

I know you cant deal with these verses, so just cut and paste your nonsense instead, so that the members can evaluate you again and again. @Grailhunter

Debating you is a waste of time because you want to superimpose your beliefs on the scriptures.

"a" god? Jesus is YHVH manifested in human flesh.

Are you going to find the word manifested or the word begotten in the scriptures?
God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son....
In other words Yahweh so loved the world that He gave His only Son Yeshua...

You know, I like that fella who did the video (his personality). He also did this other video called, " How Long Were The Israelites In Egypt?" which was worth the watch also, because that 430 years used to bug me, and I seriously stink at math (Its like a handicap with me) but it seems to make sense to me. I liked that one too. The one posted in the thread I have kept for forever, I thought it was really well done, and using the visuals does help alot.

Jesus shared no bloodline with Mary. She was the ark of the new covenant that carried Jesus into the world. Joseph was in contact a descendent of David's not Mary
Where in the bible re we told that Mary was the ark of the New Covenant? And what do you mean by Joseph being in contact with a descendant of David? I am sure that in his work as a carpenter he would have come into contact with many people.

Jesus was a son of David though Nathan, who was an ancestor of Mary. Hence He was born of the seed of David according to the flesh and the seed of the woman:

Ge 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Ro 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

However, Jesus had a right to the throne by being Joseph's adopted son. Joseph was descended from Solomon and was also a son of Coniah. Coniah (Jeconiah) was cursed by Jerimiah to never have a seed on the throne of David:

Jer 22:30 Thus saith the Lord, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his (Jeconiah) seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.

It's amazing what God did. The only way a descendant of Coniah could ever reign on the throne of David was not to be of his natural seed. It could only be by adoption.
In this way, Jesus fulfilled the prophecy. He was of the seed of David through Mary but had rights to the throne through Joseph's adoption of him.

Isaiah 7:14 is not a prophecy regarding Christ. One of the best examples of cherry picking. Plucking a verse out of the middle of a storyline. Read the whole story....It is a test of faith regarding a king and Isaiah and his wife. People key on the word virgin and run with it. Back in those days a virgin could be a woman that had not had sex or a married woman that had not had a baby yet. The Old Testament has stories of married women that could not have babies and it was considered a miracle when they did.
yes it is a prophecy about Christ! this is clear.

The linage of Christ can seem to be contradictory. Although Joseph’s linage is from David, Matthew’s account is not a true “blood line” because Jesus did not have a biological father. However, his step-father was also from the linage of David. In Luke’s account, Joseph is identified as the son of Heli-although being Mary’s father. According to Jewish custom, daughters were not identified in genealogical records. Joseph is identified because of his marriage to Mary. This was important for inheritance rights under Jewish customs.

Most important, Luke identified Nathan (David’s son) in Mary’s linage-1 Chronicles 3:5. In other words, the “blood line” was through Mary.
