What? What are you talking about?I understand that you feel
God’s sovereignty is undermined by his vulnerability.
God’s vulnerability of course! What? What are you talking about?
Whose vulnerability?

Explain what you say is God’s vulnerability.God’s vulnerability of course!
Is that how you see and know God?One cannot love without being vulnerable. The two are inseparably entwined.
A theology which separates the two has not understood why God chose to subject himself to the humiliation of Calvary.
The fact that his whole reality is love as John says, ‘in him is no darkness at all’Explain what you say is God’s vulnerability.

While it is true that God is love, God is more more than that. And I guess you know that. The fact that his whole reality is love as John says, ‘in him is no darkness at all’
Oh. I see now how you see and know God. I see Him differently.Absolutely!Tong2020 said: ↑

When God gave Jesus he gave all the accumulated treasure of eternity.... he gave till there was no more to give. While it is true that God is love, God is more more than that. And I guess you know that.

That is the big question of which one theologian asked ‘how have we known Christ?’ Have we known him as an enigma? or as a religious revolutionary? perhaps a name to rubber stamp our theologies?Oh. I see now how you see and know God. I see Him differently.

No more to give? What are you even talking about? Strange thoughts you have there. Where do you get all that? When God gave Jesus he gave all the accumulated treasure of eternity.... he gave till there was no more to give.
You do not understand the immensity of the sacrifice ie, the condescension of the incarnation.
Instead, you superimpose a human view of power with its supreme self interest onto God.
From having experienced some of that love....and as John also says ‘so we may have fellowship....’No more to give? What are you even talking about? Strange thoughts you jave there. Where do you get all that?

1 John 2:2 ‘and he himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world’.Oh I fully comprehend the magnitude of the immensity of Christ's sacrifice - so much so that I cannot believe that the Father applied to Christ unnecessary stripes upon his back, or made Him bleed one drop of powerless blood, nor make his condescension any more demeaning than absolutely necessary.
I would never superimpose anything upon the word;
"Before either child had done anything goodor evil" needs no superimposing. However you have presupposed the false narrative that, in order to fulfill and encapsulate your view of 'just', God must extend His call to all men, or relegate Himself to the level of His Creation
(Ps Big words don't make an argument; just figured if we were throwing them around I would pitch in. They are especially useless when you use big words to fill giant voids in your logic or reasoning.)
Is your understanding solely cognitive? No more to give? What are you even talking about? Strange thoughts you have there. Where do you get all that?

So you see yourself as fully comprehending?....hmmmm!Oh I fully comprehend the magnitude of the immensity of Christ's sacrifice - so much so that I cannot believe that the Father applied to Christ unnecessary stripes upon his back, or made Him bleed one drop of powerless blood, nor make his condescension any more demeaning than absolutely necessary.
