Before I comment, i want to make sure- are you referring to the ceremony of water baptism there?
yes

Before I comment, i want to make sure- are you referring to the ceremony of water baptism there?
I thought the sacraments are automatic
Ipso facto
They accomplish what they signify
poor souls all they had was the apostles sent with the authority of Christ
You can’t receive the spirit without baptism
That's all they needed
Next acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
“Promise”
what promise?
Theefaith says things because He believe there true too...I say it because its true.
Lol if you want to hold to not getting an understanding..then baptism is required
And so does everyone else !Theefaith says things because He believe there true too...
Exactly but truth is not relativeAnd so does everyone else !
Exactly what i said earlier try this slight re translation
Be fully saturated ( soaked through to a level of full understanding) in the "name" ( Who and what Jesus is and His sole ability as the living Son of God to Forgive Sin) of Jesus for the remission of sin ( that happens when we go to Him) THEN you will be 'sealed' by the Lord for the Father.
The "promise' is Eternal Life.

I know what truth is, do you?Exactly but truth is not relative
I hope too that helps @theefaith and those who read that who have the same position and belief as him.Fair enough, you stated Mk 16:16
Mar 16:16 He that believethG4100 andG2532 is baptizedG907 shall be saved;G4982 butG1161 he that believeth notG569 shall be damned.G2632
G907 is defined basically in Strongs as "to make whelmed' (saturated with something) and its common usage is in ceremonial ablution
In this case and in context, that "saturation" is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
See,part of that reason is, The "demons" believe Jesus is Lord ( they know it without question) and a demon can take a bath with the best of them but are not "saved".
There are also many who "believe" ( they do great works in Jesus name) but Jesus will tell them "depart from me ye workers of iniquity- I NEVER knew you.
The difference is not the physical ceremony of taking a dunk ( which is routinely forged)- its the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that seals the believer.
And "true belief" ( often translated as faith) is required in order to receive the Holy Spirit.
Hope that helps
Are you referring to the baptism with water?true

We must know the truth then...
