Matthew 24:32 was answering the question when? When would the end of the visitation of the father's iniquities be, and when would the start of the age be when Israel would be redeemed. The question asked was, Tell us,” they said, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?
Please (everyone) start annotating which bible translation you are copying and pasting from. For example, see the italic notation "kjv" ?

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? kjv

or maybe put it in parenthesis as well...

The end of the age and the sign of His coming is not the Day of the Lord. The sign of His coming occurs at the 6th seal and not the 7th trumpet.

The day of the Lord, is Not a single (24 hr) Day.

The Day of the Lord, is The Lords Authority to Act.

Authority, is established by POWER.

Whose Power is Supreme Above All?
Gods.

Who gave His Word, Authority to Speak, and a name, (Jesus) and Titles (Lord, Teacher, etc.)
God.

Who gave His POWER to another To Act on His Behalf?
God, Gave His Power to Jesus and God Named His Power Christ.

What was Gods First Act of Revealing His Word to man?
Gen 3:
[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
[3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Lord Jesus, the Word of God…John 1:1
Christ Jesus, the Power of God…1 Cor 1:24

The DAY of the Lord, (Christ the Lord Jesus) has been actively involved, with the lives of Humans (generation after generation) since the Beginning of manKIND.

The Lord Jesus, was SENT to Earth, MANY times, appearing “AS A MAN”.

The Last Time He was Sent to Earth (as a man), His Name JESUS and His Title CHRIST was revealed….
* And called Two Things…
The (prepared visible flesh) Son of Man.
The (the invisible Spirit / Power) Son of God.

Then He Returned To His Place of Origin…
Gods Estate…
“The Heaven” (above the Heaven-S) where no human man can go or has been.
Opposed to… ( the 3 Heaven-S) AKA. Gods Kingdom, Throne, where human men, departed human souls, departed human spirits…. Have, Can, Go.

A Preached, Revealed, Teaching IS the Son of Man Shall Return To EARTH.

Before He Return TO Earth (Visible to be Seen by “ALL” eyes (human and spirits) IS the “visible Son of Man”…

He Descends From Heaven, TO the Clouds and REDEEMS (Calls to HIS Faithful) To come TO Him.

He and His Faithful MEET Face to face, To See Each as They ARE ( Spirit ).

With HIS wholly, whole, holy Faithful and With HIS Holy Angels ( invisible to natural human eyes)…
HE, (in the visible Likeness As A human Son of man)
Goes With His (unseen, by human eyes, Faithful and angels ) To A Single White Cloud, for ALL to See.

SITTING ON A WHITE CLOUD IN The Air.
Rev 14:14

It is Thereafter… He Shall Return TO EARTH in the Body God Prepared (as a human), With His (unseen faithful and angels)…
TO claim His “Earthly “Kingdom …
(Abraham’s promised LAND),
“His Throne” …
(king Davids Throne God Established Forever),
“His Title”
( King of kings).

His “faithful With Him”, are They He Redeemed, gathered, Raptured, and remain with Him forever, wherever He is, so Also are They.

1 Thes 4:
[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Every Act Christ the Lord Accomplishes, IS according TO His Authority, His Power, His Day.

And “His Day”, for Generations of humans, HAS Day after Day Effected, Impacted Humans.

And benevolent faithful men SHALL SEE Christ the Lord AS HE IS (Spirit), long Before,
The Return of the Prepared Flesh Likeness “Son of Man” Is Sitting on a white cloud, and “Returns” TO Earth.

The Lord Descending, Coming, IS NOT A “Return TO Earth”, until He sets His Feet ON the Earth.

Do a google search for "global average life span of a man". Check out the AI result as... 70-71.

Yes.
You are talking about “a span” of years of Expectation people will generally Live.

I was NOT talking about HOW LONG a person might live….
Rather WHEN a NEW Generation BEGINS…
Which IS generally when “a previous generation is in their 20’s, 30’s. Have an offspring.

Once a person in their 20’s / 30’s have an offspring… They Have Established Generated…a “new Generation”!

If it is Average… people begin having offsprings at 30 yrs old… then A generation would broadly be 30 years.

Generating a life, has nothing to do with how long that Life lives.

Rev 14:14
Revelation 14:14 is the second coming when all eyes see the coming of the Lord. It is not the second advent when Jesus sets His feet on the Mount of Olives after Armageddon at the Day of the Lord.

Revelation 14:14-19 is the second harvest that occurs at the 6th seal when the 12 tribes across the earth, the seed of the woman, are raptured at the last trump blown on the Feast of Trumpets, the fall fruit harvest feast. This is when He sends His angels to gather the elect from heaven and earth. This is also the coming of Jesus seen in Matthew 24.

Believers are taken to heaven for the marriage supper during the ONE YEAR wrath of God.
1 Thes 4:

I'm just telling like it is, letting the chips fall where they may. And I can see right through you, I'm not fooled one bit. By their fruits you shall know them my Lord Jesus said. And if you can't even remain in His Word line upon line, but instead push a bunch of junk from men's doctrines, then your fruit is bare for all to see.

LOL… transparency is Obvious.
Broad Accusations is your gig…
Lack of proof is your fruit.

Your Accusation…

You are NOT teaching Jesus' teachings

My claims are in my words…
Quote me, what you claim is Not Scriptural teaching.

Funny how you'd think I would fall for that Ellen White junk. She predicted the time of Jesus' return for the 1800's and failed. The day for a year application is meant ONLY in Scripture where God gave it, NOT with man toying with it for his own aims to try and measure prophecy, like you have done.

I agree with you that Ellen White got her prediction of when Jesus' return would be and that 1800's prediction came about because she used the wrong signpost/event from which she made her predictive claim. How ever, her use of a years for a prophetic day is not wrong if we are able to correctly establish the starting point for that time period and then arrive at the right conclusion.

Now, using scripture only, from the Old Testament, it is possible to arrive at the end of this present world before it is refurbished. My understanding arrives at the same conclusion as if I had simply used the actual length of an age and multiplied it by seven.

Now, to use a mathematical formula to calculate the total time span from the year 0 when Adam was created up to and until the end of this present world as we know it, requires us to know the year with respect to our present calendar for us to come to the right conclusion and sadly Ussler's Chronology arrived at the wrong BC date for when Adam was created and as such 4,004 BC is wrong to use. However, Ussler's brother in-law arrived at a much closer understanding of when Adam was created but his assumption that Christ was born in the year 7 BC meant that his chronology was in error as well as to when Adam was created.

In establishing my Chronology of the Old Testament, my conclusion indicated that Adam was born in the year 4,100 BC based upon the generally accepted assumption that Christ was born in the year 4 BC. When establishing my chronology of the Old Testament I discovered that there were multiply 1,024-year-block periods in my Chronology.

Now Davy, your slur is not called for nor is your assumption that you are the only one who understands God truth.

Most people understand that the sign of the Fig Tree was the re-establishment of the nation of Israel in the land of Canaan as prophesised in Genesis 15:16a in their own strength without any assistance directly from God. We also know that usually around 5 days before the 'official' end of winter, that deciduous trees begin to bud leaves again after losing them at the end of the Autum Season. Now a four Seasons have an average duration of 91 days, i.e. 365/4=91.25, and if we add the early spring duration to this, we have 96 day until the 'official' summer season. Now using the year for a prophetic day rule we can confidently state that the end of this present Age is the year block 2044 AD and the start of the seventh Age/Generation, as per Gen 15:16 LXX Greek translation, is the year block 2045 AD.

Now all of the Mt Olivet discourse in Matthew 24-25 will unfold over the duration of the Seventh Age/Generation.

Davy, if you are unhappy with the above and want to disparage the post, then choose your words carefully as they will reflect on your character more so than on mine.

Shalom

Oh Douggggggie, I had used the ESV which had translated G:0165 as age, which is not in keeping with the KSV which translated αἰῶνος as "world" whereas it would have been better translated as "ages" to have been in step with the ESV. The actual meaning of αἰῶνος is "age of the ages."

The context of the translations is not lost from the original Greek text for the KSV or the ESV as you are wanting to suggest.

How ever, her use of a years for a prophetic day is not wrong if we are able to correctly establish the starting point for that time period and then arrive at the right conclusion.

Her use of years for a day is wrong, because if God did not say it in the specific prophecy, then it is not to be applied. In Ezekiel 4 is where she got that idea from, and there it applies because God gave it as part of THAT particular prophecy. That doesn't mean just apply it as a continuous formula for the rest of Bible prophecy.

That kind of working is one of the traditions of the orthodox unbelieving Jews who fell to Kabbalistic OCCULT doctrines while captive in Babylon. They call it Gematria, which assigns a number value to each Hebrew character, in which the values are added up for a word and it supposedly gives a hidden meaning. It's the basis of the Bible Codes book that came out years ago, and of Jewish mysticism, the Kabbalah.

Totally out of context. This has nothing to do with the day of vengeance which lasts ONE YEAR.

It also has nothing to do with the Day of the Lord which occurs in a 24 hour day.

Well, looks like @Taken has forced me to spell out his errors in Bible interpretation that I called 'mush'... and he didn't like it, and for some silly reason is still trying to backup...

THE REAL PARABLE OF THE FIG TREE

Jesus’ Teachings…
* Are all Truths
* Are all Warnings

Bottom line KEY, I would say…for any / every man…
IS…a man Freely, Willingly surrendering his whole being…
Body, Soul, Spirit…unto the Lords Offered “PREPARATION” of such Whole man.

That above is man's philosophy only taking certain words and phrases out of the context of where they appear in God's Word, and making up a philosophical meaning of one's own liking. We are stick with God's descriptions of His Truth, not what man 'thinks'... is His Truth.

“The Day of the Lord” is Not a Single Day.
The "day of the Lord" as described in the Old Testament prophets is often... narrowed down to a 'specific day', the day when Messiah returns to reign over all the earth.

One of the greatest Old Testament examples is with Zechariah 14 which gives the detail of HOW Lord Jesus returns to the Mount of Olives with His faithful elect, on that "day of the Lord". Thus it is linked to that example of the "day of the Lord" with the specific time of Christ's future 2nd coming back to this earth.

“The Day of the Lord” is Not a Single Event.

That above is true, and I never disagreed with that.

“The Day of the Lord” is Not a Calculation Day or Season or Year on a mans Calendar.

Apostle Paul disagrees with that, because when Paul mentioned the "times and the seasons" in 1 Thessalonians 5, he specifically spoke that about the coming of the "day of the Lord".

1 Thess 5:1-2
5 But of
the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that
the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
KJV

That "times and the seasons" is about the Signs of the very end of this world that Jesus gave in His Olivet discourse which culminates with that "day of the Lord" of His 2nd coming to gather His Church. That is what Paul was talking about with "times and the seasons."

“The Day of the Lord” … IMO …
To an individual man:
IS The day A man has “Taken” the Lords Offering and Become “MADE” Wholly “PREPARED”…by, through, of the Lord…

That above idea is just 'mush' supposition that COMPLETELY LEAVES THE BIBLE SCRIPTURE as written. A simple read in Zechariah 14 and the OT prophets should easily clear that up for the serious Bible student. Only those who don't care what God's written Word says would make such a terrible interpretation error like the above. Therefore, my word 'mush' for Taken's interpretation is actually light for the actual butchering of God's Word he has done with that, showing he cannot be trusted.

Thereafter… when the Lord Summons such “MADE PREPARED whole” man “TO the Lord”
…and…
When, How, “The Day of the Lords series of Events unfold”, Such “Wholly Prepared men” ARE WITH HIM.

Sounds just like a PAGAN PHILOSOPHER that somehow got ahold of a Bible and thought he could understand it without God's help.

I am not Waiting…Wondering, Worrying, calculating calendar days, years, seasons, numbers, generations, rumors of wars, wars, mens political diplomatic peace accords, the strangle hold of Satan’s influences on the people at large (rich, poor, famous, foreign, domestic, etc.)

My choosing to Accept the Lords Offering to wholly (body, soul, spirit) Surrender unto His Power…
Is a done deal, FEW, will, did, do, shall Accept… which in DOING SO…
Changes the Whole dynamics of such individual…
From Waiting, Guessing, Surmising, For the Day of the Lord…
To being WITH the Lord, Through the Day of the Lord.

Brethren in Christ, do you sense consternation/confusion in Taken's words above? It's because of his struggle with having accepted man's false Pre-trib Rapture theory which wrongly teaches the Church will fly away prior to the "great tribulation", vs. what God's written Word actually teaches that Jesus comes AFTER... the tribulation to gather His Church. I've seen this before with those straddling the fence between those two ideas. Which idea should we go with then, brethren in Christ?

Yeah, that's right, the idea that is actually WRITTEN in God's Word where Lord Jesus revealed His coming to gather His Church WILL BE AFTER THE TRIBULATION. And where Jesus said that is in Matthew 24:29-31 and Mark 13:24-27.

Nope. I’m not trying to back up anything.
You never …

Acts. 17
[11] These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

And you never… asked!
1 Pet 3:
[15] But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

That above is man's philosophy only taking certain words and phrases out of the context of where they appear in God's Word, and making up a philosophical meaning of one's own liking. We are stick with God's descriptions of His Truth, not what man 'thinks'... is His Truth.

I said: Jesus is All Truth.
You think that falls under a mans philosophy, that’s YOU, not me.

No.

Matt 24:
[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Yeah, that's right, the idea that is actually WRITTEN in God's Word where Lord Jesus revealed His coming to gather His Church WILL BE AFTER THE TRIBULATION. And where Jesus said that is in Matthew 24:29-31 and Mark 13:24-27.

No.

Mark 13:
[24] But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
[25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
[26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
[27] And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

No.

You obviously do NOT KNOW “which specific” “tribulation days” are being spoken of…

Nor do you KNOW the difference between WHO is the “ELECT”… AND WHO “THE CHURCH”.

Nor do you KNOW it is Holy Angels that Summons those to be gathered.

Nor do you KNOW when the Son of Man Appears TO BE SEEN BY men ON the EARTH… CHRIST’S CHURCH Members… ARE WITH Him!

Your “man-made interpretation is faulty”… and Not Biblical Teaching.

I’ll continue to stick with the Truth, and continue to reject your interpretation.
