Identification with the cross is the answer for mind - the knowing of your death 'in Adam' - 'in Christ' on that cursed tree is the answer for soul/mind. The one thing that separated the 'created from the Creator God' in his pleasure has been removed. He initiated the reconciliation - the scriptures says "it is God that justifies," this does not have anything to do with mankind trying to get back in rightstanding with God. It has to do with what He did in creating a thing (all of creation-including you and I, as well as the starry space of the heavenlies) and going back after it to redeem it back (bought and pay for with a price -Jesus paid the ultimate premium price) from the rebellious rebel who had taken mankind captive and held them with no separation possible - they were captives. And oddly all they have to do is "believe it now." "Oh the blood of Jesus, singing "Oh the blood of Jesus" it washes white as snow.' 'Oh the blood of Jesus! thank you Lord!
That is Father love - how he would give his only Son to redeem mankind back from the pits of hell and brush them off and say as he did when Jesus walked through this world "this is my son - in whom I am well pleased". Wow if we could see love in action (God love - more than that "Father love") to come to a conclusion "before the foundation of the world" he chose to sacrifice his only Son for those that he would create. I don't know if the mind of humanity can only fathom the depths of Father love. Eph. 1:4.
What did Jesus do when he walked in this world "he gave us his father." He gave us a new understanding of father love and son love. He has shown all humanity his father and made the offer "he can be your father to." No greater love than "a man lay down his life for a friend."
The scripture says " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Those are just words written on a sheet of paper for everyone to read that would - but the impact of what is written in those words and what was going on 'before the foundation of the world,' it may never be realized by mankind who daily go about their business with no knowledge of what a Creator of all - Heaven and Earth - and all that inhabit that space.
And in that space - He has fixed a way for all to know Him called "the schoolhouse" to bring son's and daughters into His household of faith. If one would choose - all heaven and earth will rejoice - knowing the creator who is a Father has His good pleasure of having son's and daughters like unto His Only Begotten Son.
To our Father be all praise and glory. Amen.
