Christmas doesn't end with the birth of Jesus, although certainly that is the high point of the nativity story. But on the 8th day of life Jesus was circumcised, the anniversary of which is coming up on Thursday, January 1. Then on the 40th day is the anniversary of Mary's purification and the presentation of Jesus in the Temple which occurred on February 2. And then on February 23rd the Magi visited, and that very night Joseph was warned in a dream to take Mary and the babe and flee to Egypt.
