Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. - Numbers 10:2
Metaphors....
First Trumpet - Things pertaining to worship.... The Spirit of God, praise, singing. joy, love, the spiritual E/c2. Things worship leaders delight.
Second Trumpet - Things pertaining to the word... Jesus, truth, bible reading, obedience. The senior pastors delight...
Whole Piece - Both proceed from God the Father... However the Holy Spirit cannot operate without the word.
Calling of the assembly - Church!
Journeying of the camps - The churches direction!
And thus we have...

When the two trumpets come together appropriately a church can find a good direction within a community. A ministry can find good direction within the world!
Now lets expand the metaphor within our individual life...
First Trumpet... The Holy Spirit within our heart
Second Trumpet... The Word of God within our heart
An individuals life needs both trumpets within to set up a sanctuary within (1 Corinthians 3:16) and to find a good direction in life. In which... I worry that we have people here in the word of God... And outside of the unction of the Holy Spirit! As I was brought up in the military I spent much of my upbringing in the northwest. My mother made me go to a Baptist church which was about the coldest place on the planet. The young people rebelled and slipped into fornication and drugs and the people could not associate their lack of spiritual warmth and the fact that satan had used that to lure away a generation. The poor Yankee pastor to this day thinks that because he is so astute in scripture that he is doing the will of God.I dreampt upon my bed once that I revisited that spiritual refrigerator to find it alive in the Holy Spirit... People were actually worshiping the Lord and there was a light and a warmth in there... And then I woke up! Just a dream Rockytop... Just a dream! Poor Yankee church will regrettably never find the unction of the Holy Spirit because it is outside the confines of their mentality!
In which... If you can imagine someone outside of the Spirit trying to teach the Word of God... And how satan... So astute in scripture... Uses that word to spread spiritual darkness...
And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.- Matthew 27:5
Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. - Luke 10:37
Using these scriptures out of context one could say.... He cast down silver in the temple, departed, and hanged himself... Go and do thou likewise!
Not only that but one can really have a hey day out of a book or Revelation bending, twisting, and manipulating scripture to ones own good! So the point is that it is important to get the Holy Spirit along with the Bible knowledge!
