(Literal Words Of Fire Called From Heaven By Elijah's Mouth, Literal Fire That Consumed Literal Samarians Upon This Literal Earth)

Jesus Is The Lord

Revelation 11:5KJV
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

2 Kings 1:1-18KJV
1 Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
2 And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
3 But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?
4 Now therefore thus saith the Lord, Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
5 And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back?
6 And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
7 And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?
8 And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
9 Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.
10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
11 Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
13 And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
14 Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.
15 And the angel of the Lord said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.
16 And he said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
17 So he died according to the word of the Lord which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.
18 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
LOL. Read Revelation 11:5 again. It says "fire proceedeth out of their mouth". It doesn't say they call fire down from heaven. Why are you not taking that verse as literally as all the other verses in Revelation 11?

You're just stating what you believe. That's not an answer as to why you believe that. In the book of Revelation candlesticks symbolically represent churches, not individuals (Revelation 1:20). Why are you trying to make it as if John wasn't consistent with how he used that term?
Once Again, The Two Olive Trees Are Interpreted As Being (The Two Anointed Ones), Who Are Also Called The Two Candlesticks, Your Not Going To Take Revelation 11:3-18 And Wave Your Magic Wand And Claim Dead Bodies, a Street in Jerusalem, A Tormented World Exchanging Gifts In Celebration, Dead Bodies Being Raised From The Dead Standing On Feet, A World Watching, And Take All This "DETAILED" Info And Claim It Represents (The Church) Malarkey, Laughable, Out Of Your Mind

Conclusion: You Want To Take One Word "Candlesticks" And Completely Disregard The Whole Interpretation Of Scripture, Because Of Your "Bias" Regarding Literal, Future, Unfulfilled Events "Removing God's Words" IMHO "Scary"!

Once Again And Again, The Two Olive Trees Are (The Two Anointed Ones) That Are (The Two Witnesses) You're Not Going To Wave Your Magic Wand And Divert To Your Private Interpretation When its Already Given, Trying Desperately To Ignore God's Words Of Interpretation (These Are The Two Olive Trees) Done Deal!

The (Two Witnesses) in Rev Chapter 11 are given a detailed description, as they have literal physical bodies that die, and they lay in a literal Jerusalem street, as a literal world watches celebrating their deaths, Literal, Future, Unfilled

Your not going to wave the reformed magic wand and claim they are candlesticks and "Symbolically" represent the Church or Old/New Testaments, "Removing" the Future, Literal, Physical seen, ain't gonna happen

Does it not matter that you give complete disregard to Zechariah 4:11-14 and it's interpretation of Revelation 11:3-4, perfectly describing these two future prophets that will be physically upon this earth?

Does it not matter that you take (Two Literal Prophets) that have literal physical bodies that die, that are raised from the dead as a literal world watches, and you remove this literal biblical fact with symbolic allegory claiming (The Two Witnesses/Prophets) represent the church?

Once Again no mention of the "Olive Trees" in Zech 4:11-14 or "Items 1 & 2" seen below, because it opposes your claim of "The Church" being the (Two Witnesses) this being 100% "Wrong"

Why do you ignore the facts as described below in Zechariah 4:11-14 regarding the "Olive Trees" being interpreted as (The Two Anointed Ones) before your eyes and not one mention of this fact "Why"?

Why do you ignore the facts in Revelation 11:3-4 that (The Two Witnesses) are described as being "Two Olive Trees" (These Are The Two Olive Trees) before your eyes and not one mention of this fact "Why"?

Why do you ignore the facts as described below regarding items 1 & 2?

(Items 1 & 2 Below, Same "Exact" Description In Parallel Teachings "Fact"!)

1.) Zechariah 4:14 and the words: (that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.)

2.) Revelation 11:4 and the words: (standing before the God of the earth.)

The interpretation for Revelation 11:3-4 is clearly given in Zechariah 4:11-14, these are parallel teachings, scripture interprets itself

Olive Trees, Olive Branches = The Two Anointed Ones, Who Are Described In Revelation Chapter 11 As Having Literal Bodies That Die, And These Dead Bodies Are Raised From The Dead Before A Literal World Watching

(These Are The Two Annointed Ones) = (The Two Witnesses) = (Two Prophets) Literal, Physical, And Upon This Earth, Rev 11:10

Zechariah 4:11-14KJV
11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Revelation 11:3-4 & 10KJV
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

The Literal Words Out Of Their Mouths Will Bring Literal Fire Upon This Earth, Just As Elijah Did As Was Shown, Simple, Clear, Easy To Understand

Questions:

1.) Do you believe that the plagues brought upon Egypt as recorded in the book of Exodus "literally took place upon this earth"?

2.) Do you believe that Elijah called "literal fire" down from God out of heaven that consumed 2 companies of men, 102 in total?

2 Kings 1:1-18KJV

Once again, no explanation as to WHY the two witnesses are called two candlesticks. You're just a broken record. A robot. I'm going to go to talk to actual human beings now.

The Literal Words Out Of Their Mouths Will Bring Literal Fire Upon This Earth, Just As Elijah Did As Was Shown, Simple, Clear, Easy To Understand
Literally, it says fire comes out of their mouths, not that they call fire down upon the earth. So, you're not taking the text literally like you do the rest of Revelation 11. Why do you take the rest of Revelation 11 so literally when you don't take Revelation 11:5 literally? You're not consistent.

No, Malachi 4:5 has not been fulfilled yet. Elijah will be one of the two witnesses.

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
See what I mean? You all can read the literal words by your human mind, but you CAN'T HEAR the mind of Christ within you (if he is), to interpret it for you. Therefore you have no other recourse except to hear YOUR OWN thoughts, or that which you ascribe to, through your religion of church-ianity.

Doesn't anyone here interpret Luke 7:26-28 correctly, by the Holy Spirits teaching??
In post #451, I asked a question about it. When Jesus said: "he that is least in the KoG, is greater than John the Baptist", who was Jesus pointing to as being the least?

NO ONE has offered an answer!!!
Waiting....

My Opinion and Belief Is My Answer, Your Not Going To Control My Thoughts Or Words In Response, Read It Again

Once Again, You've Clearly Been Answered

IMHO the (Two Witnesses) are called candlestick(s) who will be living physical prophets that have bodies that die and are raised from the dead, they'll be representatives of the living Church on earth standing against (The Beast) and his evil kingdom, their power comes from God on high

Revelation Chapter 11 isn't totally literal, and Rev 11:5 is a prime example

Just as Rev Chap 17 shows the symbolic then shows the literal interpretation

False. Clearly you and Earburner did not read Scripture carefully.

Jesus identified John the Baptist as the “Elijah” promised in Malachi 4:5. This means John fulfilled Elijah’s prophetic role, rather than being Elijah "physically returned."

Malachi foretold:

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.”
— Malachi 4:5

Notice how Scripture explains this:
  • Luke 1:17: John would go before the Lord “in the spirit and power of Elias” and turn the hearts of fathers to children—directly connecting his ministry to Malachi 4:6.
  • Matthew 11:14: Jesus said of John, “And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.”
  • Matthew 17:12–13: Jesus said Elijah had already come, and the disciples understood that He was speaking about John the Baptist.
That also explains why John answered “I am not” when asked whether he was Elijah in John 1:21. He was not literally the ancient prophet Elijah; he was John, sent to minister in Elijah’s spirit and power.

And you have the timing of the “day of the LORD” wrong.
You assume Malachi 4:5 must refer to the final judgment at Christ’s Second Coming. Yet Jesus identified the promised Elijah as John the Baptist, placing that fulfillment within the days of John’s and Christ’s earthly ministries.

My point is that this was a day of judgment upon the Old Testament congregation. John was beheaded, Christ was crucified, and judgment came upon the unfaithful congregation. Jesus declared, “The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof” (Matthew 21:43).

I understand the same pattern to apply to the New Testament congregation before the Second Coming: the unfaithful church rejects the testimony of Christ’s faithful witnesses and comes under judgment. Revelation 11 describes the beast overcoming and killing those witnesses, while 1 Peter 4:17 declares that judgment begins at the house of God.

You cannot simply assume that every reference to the “day of the LORD” describes the same moment, in the end-time. You must establish its timing and application from Scripture.

Selah!
You have got me wrong on that!
I fully understand that John the Baptist came in the spirit (character, nature) of Elijah. There will be no resurrection of Elijah to be coming back into this world ever again.
Edit: everything else that you mention about John the Baptist, I fully agree with. Unfortunately, you neglected to mention the most important facet about him: he had the fulness of the Holy Spirit within him, before he was physically born. Never has such a thing happened to anyone in all of history, prior to the birth of John the Baptist.
Luke 1
13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord**, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
**Note: John would be great in the sight of the Lord, but not necessarily great in the sight of those who rule in this world.

Unfortunately, much of what church-ianity understands and promotes about Revelation, through the Pre-mil doctrine is completely false. Their error is due to not correctly understanding the 70th week in Daniel 9:24-27, and who it is truly about. John 5:39.

Therefore, everything else that is prophetic downline, will be continually off and misconstrued for understanding, which is alot like that of one using a rough drawn land map to take a 500 mile trip. From the starting point, if one is one degree off towards the final destination, one will end up being miles away from it.
