Here is a great article on William Brahnam in which is said...

"Branham searched for other ways to make his mark. He began teaching from his visions rather than from the Word of God. Not called to be a teacher, Branham began to veer off in extreme directions regarding his interpretation of truth. Disturbing doctrines were taught and emphasized throughout the remainder of his ministry."

In which I got the revleation of the seven churches from the guy...

1. Ephesus - Apostolic
2. Smyrna - Martyr
3. Pergomos - Orthodox
4. Thyatira -Catholic
5. Sardis - Protestant
6. Philadelphia - Methodist / Pentecostal
7. Laodicea - Charismatic

However... William Brahman believed that each church was run by a single guy, and he sought to make himself leader of the Laodicean church... In which it is also said in the article...

"Branham died exactly when the Lord told Hagin he would. According to Hagin’s prophecy, William Marrion Branham, the “father of the healing revival” had to be removed from the earth because of his disobedience to his call and the creation of doctrinal confusion."

So a sad story here... Almost like the story of Jimmy Swaggert...

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. - Revelation 3:19

God still rebukes and chastens wrong doings!

Rockytopva,

This seems like an opinion from someone who didn't like the guy. I never knew him, but I know someone who did, and he holds him in high regards, yet not without fault. Did you know the preacher? Or did you pull this off the net?

I have actually met some folks who still go by his teachings and they are very disturbing. Not to his fault, but to those of his following. Kind of like Paul's following if they followed Paul above Christ. I still hold Branham with high regards, because my Pastor does. Although, I admit, I do so with ignorance to what he -- William -- actually said.

This article gives my opinion of William Branham... Who like Jimmy Swaggert got carried away in the flesh... But also like Jimmy Swaggert was in his time a very good man!

A long "TIME" ago (before the foundation of the world) God predestined/elected us 'in Jesus',....

...The Father sent His Son to end the AGE OF TIME and start the AGE OF ETERNITY so that IN JESUS we would no longer have MERE EXISTENCE, but have "THE life" eternal (John 14:6)....

..."in the fulness of TIME" (the completion and end of time happened at the cross, Ephesians 1:10).

When Jesus walked this earth, it was not 'this present age'...Mark 10:30 "and in the age to come eternal life".

When Jesus spoke to the Pharisees 2000 years ago, He warned that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would not be forgiven...

Matthew 12:32 "either in this age or in the age to come".

For nineteen and a half centuries, distorted understandings, discrepancies, and untruths (perditious beliefs) have been taught. Paul spoke against "sectas perditionis" (a "sect" is a group founded on evil belief).

We have only been taught "milk", we need a "solid food" education. 1 Corinthians 3:2 "I fed you with milk,.....".

It was very insightful to disbelieve in "church ages". Verses are from the RSV.

As a history guy I read into the prophecy and saw the parallels.

1. Ephesus - Apostolic
2. Smyrna - Martyr
3. Pergomos - Orthodox
4. Thyatira -Catholic
5. Sardis - Protestant
6. Philadelphia - Methodist / Pentecostal
7. Laodicea - Charismatic
