Even worse, the prophecy now becomes dangerously perpetual. Every generation can declare itself the generation Jesus was really talking about, because the words “this generation” have been severed from the generation He was actually speaking to.

To make Christ’s prophecy perpetually movable isnt merely bad eschatology. It risks turning the infallible Lord of the Church into a fallible religious teacher whose words can only be made “true” by endless reinterpretation.

Thats not a small hermeneutical error.

That's a Christological catastrophe.

Right so lets look at how warped and crazy this really is..

Grandpa Walton who was 81 in 1930 and was a drummer boy during the Civil War thinks the "prophecy" was all about 'his generation' of course! It says so in his new Scofield Bible!

Then the WWI men born in 1890 are led to believe its all about them;

then the WWII gen born in 1920... "ITS ABOUT US!"

Then their kids, who were in Korea & Vietnam are led to believe the prophecy was all about them..

Then the kids born in 1970 who were in desert storm in Iraq think the prophecy was about them! "It's all about us. Duh!"

But they were all wrong..

Because today, a new brainwashed 17 year old that was born in 2009 reading this is like "WOW all those grandfathers were WRONG! The prophecy wasn't about them! It was really all about ME and my generation currently in High School!"

And fifty years from now?

Another teenager gets to say the exact same thing.

That's what happens when “this generation” is dangerously detached from the generation Christ was actually speaking to.

The prophecy never fails because the system never permits it to fail. Every dead generation is quietly discarded, every failed expectation is reassigned to the next generation, and then “this generation” is dragged forward forever and means whoever happens to be reading the Scofield notes today in any century.

This isn't harmless speculation; it's spiritually dangerous because it trains Christians to distrust the plain timing language of Christ and to trust an endlessly adjustable system instead. When every failed generation can simply be replaced by the next, prophecy becomes unfalsifiable, fear becomes perpetual, and Christ’s words are treated as raw material to be reassigned forever through endless prophecies manufactured out of thin air by every brainwashed Jebediah from Seattle to Miami at an airport Hilton prophecy conference.

That should alarm any Christian.

A dangerous system that can survive unlimited failed expectations by moving the target is not protecting prophecy; it’s corrupting the way prophecy is read.

Listing a bunch of other heresies does not make this one disappear. Thats not an answer; its a smoke bomb. Jesus named Jerusalem, He named Judea, He pointed at the Temple. He said “this generation” will experience it. Rome came, the city was surrounded, and the Temple was destroyed in 70AD. You can scream about Joel Osteen, Toronto, woke moonbat churches, AI, and more, but none of it moves Christ’s words on this one inch.

And this blasphemous lie that Christ’s prophecy somehow failed, or that He did not even understand the timing of His own words which were magically meant for people living 2,000 years later; became the foundation of more than a century of sustained doctrinal brainwashing, training millions of Christians to distrust the plain words of Jesus Christ whenever those words threaten the system from hell they inherited.. one that leads them straight back to it.

I would call that one of the most alarming heresies in modern Christianity.

Pointing out what a doctrine actually implies is not “pointing the finger.”
Especially when it's been shown to be spiritually dangerous.

If I've misread Christ, then show me where.

Show me where Jesus moves “this generation” two thousand years forward.
Show me where He changes the Temple.
Show me where He changes the audience.
Show me where He inserts the gap.
