They did not remember Yahweh’s power

What did Yahweh do when he redeemed Israel?

He saved / delivered them from their adversary.

“But in the time of their oppression they would call out to you, and you would hear them from heaven, And according to your great mercy give them saviors to deliver them from the power of their enemies.”

(Nehemiah 9:27, NABRE)

Yahweh doesn’t send himself.

Yahweh redeeming / rescuing / saving / delivering his people by persons he raised up and sent prefigures Yahweh raising up and sending Jesus to redeem / rescue / save / deliver people who will repent, believe, love and obey him.

This is the way a Jewish monotheist who believes Jesus is the Messiah reads, understands, and explains the story of Yahweh and mankind as it unfolds in scripture.
