As is usual the Holy Spirit deals with me many times in spirit pictures, visions if you will. I'll see a picture in my spirit that tells a story or reveals a wealth of spiritual insight and knowledge. When Jesus shows something in the spirit it takes only a fragment of a few seconds to reveal and say things that take far longer to express, communicate. Even after we attempt to reveal to others what we saw it still seems an imperfect try. That's one difference between spirit and flesh, seeing through a glass darkly and the imperfect communication. This Meme is the rough idea behind what I saw in the spirit this morning during a quiet time. It's only natural that the Lord does this as I've worked in graphics all of my life. Using them to work with the written word of God seems wonderful to me. What do any of us have that we've not been given? Nothing. As the word says all boasting is eliminated. Never look at a man's gift but at the giver. Amen

There is a straight clear path we can (and must) walk if we are to arrive at our heart's destination. The city of eternal life and light that Jesus, the great creator, has built for us who have placed our faith and life into His hands. This path is clearly marked and God has seen to it that there are plenty of sign posts and mile markers to assure us that we are walking the right way. Those sign posts are the Scriptures, the Holy Word of God. There's an old gospel song "I'm using my Bible as a road map". It's a simple powerful title that is absolute truth. Stay in the word and you are not apt to take a side trail from the way.

Isaiah 30:21 NASB
Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

Either side of the path which I shall call the "way", is a dense jungle of immense size. It is dark and foreboding and presses right up to God's way. This jungle is filled with evil bloodthirsty beasts if every sort. Many appearing as humans.

There are far too many beasts to name, some not having names. The Bible combines all of them into three categories, lust of the eye, lust of the flesh and the pride of life.

From one end of life, life defined as only beginning at salvation when a person is truly born again, to the end which is death, there are countless side paths. Some of these are small and subtlety marked or not marked at all. Others are broad and signage declares a shortcut or that the Bible way is false. Just as the path way of God leads only to one place so do all the side paths and ways. They converge at the gates of destruction, hell.

Matthew 7:13 NASB
"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

In the walk of life these side paths usually appear at a time when we are at a low ebb. During times of loneliness, sorrow, need, discouragement and so forth. Disappointment in others or in our own actions bring on times of weakness when we are most vulnerable. Our enemy, whom I will not even name, does not have to get us far away from God's way. Just a wee bit off. True to a serpent's ways creeping in only a teensy bit. Tongue testing the air. If we step one step onto a side path then the second wrong step is even easier. Many taking those first few bad steps never turn around, repent and
Get back on the way of God. The true old saying is "sin always takes you farther than you intended to go".

Daily time with God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit and in prayer plus Bible reading will strengthen our feet to keep walking in the right direction.

Many years ago the Holy Spirit gave me a word that I have written down somewhere in my stuff. He said in part "the cross is very big. It can be seen from any point during your walk on the way path of God. Whenever you look up or stop to rest you can always see the cross. You have the cross both behind and before."

If we are deceived onto a false side path then we can no longer see the cross. Never let the cross of Jesus out of your sight. It's the cross of Jesus where our salvation was purchased with the sacrifice and blood of Jesus Christ. When we turn from God's way then we had to take our eyes from the path to the Heavenly city, Jesus and the cross and look at something else. In order to step aside from God's way we had to stop and give heed to the urge, the temptation to step aside from the way God made for us. Just as soon as we take the first false step then the cross disappears from our view.

During my forty year journey I've been deceived more than once. By the grace and grace alone of God the Father He granted me repentance and set my feet back in the way of life. God be praised who has given us life which we in no wise deserve. The just shall live by faith. It's a fearful thing to fail the savior. The depth of His love is beyond any human expression. In His love our hope is anchored. Amen

Psalm 116:7-9 NASB
Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
[8] For You have rescued my soul from death, My eyes from tears, My feet from stumbling.
[9] I shall walk before the LORD In the land of the living.

I implore you brethren to walk in His way on the straight and narrow path He has made especially for us. Day after day doing the same things with and for God is not some mundane lackluster life. It is a secure and steady journey on the way He has mapped for us.

2 Peter 3:15 KJVS
And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

Psalm 41:11 KJVS
By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

Deuteronomy 2:27 KJVS
Let me pass through thy land: I will go along by the high way, I will neither turn unto the right hand nor to the left.
