which is why Paul said he stood CONDEMNED for his actions.
Paul only and merely said that he was to be blamed.
Otherwise he was contradicting Jesus and what He said in John 5:24 (kjv).

@Michiah-Imla It's interesting that Paul circumcised Timothy, not in order that he might come under the power of the rite, but rather in order that, among Jews knowing he had been circumcised, he would enjoy more of a hearing for the Gospel.Excellent observation!
This reminds me of Paul’s own words below:
1 Corinthians 9:19-21 KJVS
[19] For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. [20] And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; [21] To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

1- he denied Jesus 3 times
2- he ran from those who said he knew Jesus denying his relationship with Jesus
3- he lived a hypocritical life with the Jews and Gentiles after Pentecost
4- Paul confronts him to his face for being a hypocrite
5- Peter was a stumbling block for the weaker brother Barnabas and caused him to fall into sin as a hypocrite
Where?6- Peter forced the gentiles with him to participate in his hypocrisy
So according to their heretical teaching the Apostle Peter was not saved, lost his salvation and if he died was going to hell before Paul confronted Him with his sin.
@Michiah-Imla YW. I do believe in the true believer's eternal security, BTW. Romans 8.38-39, etc. John's First Epistle speaks a lot about the assurance of those who walk in truth; they are the truly cleansed.Another great observation!
Thanks for the good contribution.
@Michiah-Imla This was in the context of Levitical offerings; it was of course not in denial of the final sacrifice of Christ at the Cross, or His High Priestly work. Also, remember that Paul also did the following:
Acts 21:26 KJV
[26] Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.
This was done to placate the Jews who would be seeking an occasion against Paul for supposedly teaching against the customs of Moses.
Peter wasn't going to lose it anyway...Peter did not lose his salvation.
Peter wasn't going to lose it anyway...
@Michiah-Imla John's First Epistle speaks of the continuous cleansing of the blood of Christ, for the believer, that is, for those who walk in the light (chapter 1).It all boils down to this:
Hebrews 10:26-27 KJV
[26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
As per the pure unadulterated word of God, all other non-willful sins do not fall under this category; continuing this discussion is a waste of time.

@CharismaticLady The true believer does not live and die in sin and unbelief. The Lord Jesus said: "By their fruits ye shall know them" (Matthew 12.33).That is for people walking in the Spirit. They will NOT be willfully sinning. 1 John 1:7 only applies to unintentional trespasses, called sins not unto death. 1 John 3:4 are sins unto death because they would be committing them willfully. Jesus is NOT our Advocate for sins of lawlessness without repentance, but only IF God allows repentance to them.

@Michiah-Imla "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." i.e., continues to cleanse us from all sin; this is what I had in mind.I doubt this.
Because it is made clear in the same letter (more than once) that he that is born of God does not sin (1 John 3:9; 1 John 5:18).
The verse you are referring to says “if any man sin, we have the advocate”; not them, WE. (1 John 2:1).
And if any man sins willfully he certainly does not have an advocate with the Father because he has trodden the advocate with his feet (Hebrews 10:26-29).
have you ever sinned since becoming a so-called follower of Jesus ?I doubt this.

@Michiah-Imla The true believer is never going to be lost, though. Romans speaks of 'obedience to the faith' and 'the obedience of faith'. True faith produces works; but it is faith that justifies. All previous sins.
