@GodsGrace I can only suggest to you what I wrote to the other person...take it up with Him, He does not need me to defend what He says...
I have no idea to what you're replying.
I know Jesus does not need you for anything other than to help to fill up his earthly and heavenly Kingdom.

There's is nothing I need to take up with Him, since I speak from His word.

I was working on a degree and got into a debate during a two hour flight. When we arrived at the gate …she said “You convinced me to go back to church.” I replied “Not just any church, a Bible believing, teaching church. Don’t stop there, find a Bible Study. You will learn far more there, than what comes from the pulpit.

I look at the pulpit as serving two Masters. One, entertaining the troops. Two and least significant….educating the same.

I'm non-denominational, I've tried churches in the past but they weren't on my wavelength.
Anyway Jesus is the only pastor or minister we need-
Jesus said:-"You have one teacher, me" (Matt 23:10)
"And the common people heard him gladly" (Mark 12:37)
I like Bear Gryll's approach..:)

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.- Numbers 10:1-3

Two Trumpets -

1. The Worship - For the calling of the assembly
2. The Word - For the journeying of the camps

In this day and time I would recommend any denomination approved by this Christian web site... However... I would want to know two things...

1. The Worship - Does the church have a good worship leader?
2. The Word - Does the church have a good Senior Pastor?

And two things I would recommend on this thread....

1. Unity - As long as the worship is good
2. Unity - As long as the senior pastor is good

I visited a Lutheran church who had a wonderful senior pastor in his 80's who finally decided to retire. The church has been struggling to find a good pastor since. I went to a scripture study Thursday morning just to find a few men there. And from the conversation they were not doing well since losing their wonderful Senior Pastor. I also left worried that the beautiful church would end up abandoned if they do not find someone good to fill those shoes.

I have no recommended denominations. It is amazing to me the wide variety of people within the same intellectual thought.

And... A RW Schambach sermon on the importance of the Worship and the Word...
