Oh, how frequently do Demonrats admit they make mistakes? I’m sure if Trump would only admit the error of his ways, the media and Demonrats would sing his praises and end the lawfare against him.
This is not a political thing. The press conference at the garden centre is a classic example.
Rather than admit it was the wrong location and just switch it went ahead.
Taking top secret documents and not giving them back. I have the right to them.
This is a personality trait. Or the failed businesses and ventures. It is not a problem to try lots of things,
but to then say they are a success is absurd. Or hiring folk as the best in their field, then firing them a
few months later saying they are rubbish. The through put is so large at some point the person in the
middle is the problem.
But populism is about saying what fits in the moment, whether it is the opposite of the previous moment
does not matter, just what appears popular. Gaining confidence is all that matters not reality. And to deny
and stop truth or criticism coming in, creates a cult and the equivalent of brain washing.
All the populist dictators do this, and if there is enough grievance in the population you just need a big
enemy, and the worse you can paint them the stronger the feeling.
The leader needs to stay apparently sensible and moderate while stirring up the soldiers to fight.
At what point do you say the leader has become the extreme and is the source of trouble rather than resolving
the grievance which justified their rise to power?
If you become like your enemy you replace them and are the enemy. It is why Jesus called us to love our enemies
and pray for them, knowing we can easily become the very thing we hate. God bless you
