The average people in all countries are basically good people and want the same thing, peace and freedom to live their lives the way they want to live it. The problem is the governments and the people who fall for their propaganda and hate a particular group to the point of supporting genocide of and entire group of peoples.
Remember, there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and the lady who claimed the Iraqi babies was later found out to be a Mossad agent. The American people were completely behind the evil Bush administration because of that propaganda.
