US oil imports from Russia increase by 43%

Very curious indeed, seeing that Biden said this and that and the other thing.

According to the Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Mikhail Popov on Sunday, the US increased its imports of Russian oil by 43% in the last week, totaling 100,000 barrels a day.

Popov told Komsomolskaya Pravda news that "the US forced Europeans to introduce anti-Russian sanctions, while not only continuing to import oil from Russia but increasing volume of [oil] deliveries for the past week by 43% up to 100,000 barrels per day!"

The Deputy Secretary also detailed that Washington imported fertilizers from Russia while listing them as essential goods.

The US last month announced a ban on Russian oil, natural gas, and coal imports as a response to the Russian operation in Ukraine.

Former US colonel and Eurasia Center Vice President, Earl Rasmussen, said the European Union's latest sanctions and economic retaliation against Russia will backfire and cause a massive recession in Europe.

Rasmussen, who previously said that US troop deployment to Ukraine deters efforts to solve the conflict, said the European sanctions against Russia will throw Europe into a "historical recession".

The colonel stated that despite repeated assurances from Biden, Washington is in no condition to replace Russia’s plentiful and cheap supplies of natural gas to Europe with any alternative energy supply that is remotely comparable in either scale or cost.

UK increasing drilling, Canada more oil production, global warming alarmists say both these new actions will irreversibly destroy the planet, but only if you believe they will and in their minds only.

So couple interesting oil related production events occurring, and when is the US going to become energy self sufficient again like under Trump? Yes, I too was surprised when gas prices jumped because of the war in Ukraine only to realize we hadn't stopped importing from Russia so there should have been no reason except market volatility that the democrats were doing nothing to try and prevent. Sure some states dropped the gas tax for a while, but that doesn't get to the root of the problem.

They are doing the same to groceries to try and lower the standard of living on average so the people will vote for Democrat handouts.

I didn't realize shell had operations in Russia. Now they say they are closing up shop there because of the war.

This was decades ago but I've heard of a government program where farmers can be paid to let their land go fallow. The contract may be renewed annually. There is a simpler solution my mate come up with.
Instead of recharging your battery you simply change it over at the gas station to a fully charged one and they'll charge yours and swap it with someone else.
The problem I think is that these batteries are not designed to be easily taken out.
