temptation is the attraction/desire towards the act of sinning.
to sin, is to give into this desire and commit the act of sinning.
sin is in you, its a part of your seperated Adamic nature, and you are no longer under its dominion.
The part of you that wants to sin, is "dead" according to your bible, yet, it has created such
a longstanding habit in you, that it feels alive.
Sin is a power, yet, the part of you that sins, according to your bible is dead.
Right in there is the learning process of becoming more of Christ and less of you.

The power of sin, is the law, as the law is what causes the guilt your conscience feels and its the law that
shows you that you are a sinner..
The good news is that Jesus has redeemed us from the Law, he has abolished the law, and therefore you are no longer under
its judgement for your sins, therefore you are no longer under its ability to condemn you and in fact no longer has any power over you.

Remember that Paul said that he no longer lived but Christ lived in him.????
He is explaining to you Romans 5, 6, 7..., in that you are dead and are raised up from the dead "in Christ".
You have been crucified with Christ and the old Adamic part of you is gone, its separated from the Born again part of you....
However, this opposition inside you Romans 8:22,23 is played out in life as you understand that this has happened Colossians 2:11 and then resist those traits and habitual practices that are etched inside your body which tends toward sinning.
