Do you have ANY idea what is actually being SAID in 1 Cor. 3?? Paul is decrying and condemning FACTIONS. In other words PROTESTANTS – like the gaggle that exists today. In John 17:20-23, Jesus prays fervently to the Father that His Church REMAINS ONE – as He and the Father are ONE.

YOU belong to a splinter of a splinter of a splinter, etc., from the splintered factions create by your Protestant Fathers. In fact – there is almost NO Protestant faction born at the Protestant Revolt that adheres to the original precepts and doctrines of their founders – because of this perpetual-splintering that has occurred.

Your Protestant Fathers received and adored the Holy Eucharist as the Body of Christ.
They venerated Mary and the saints and prayed for intercession.
They considered Mary, the Mother of God

As for your posting of Eph. 2 – NOBODY in the Catholic church ever said that Jesus WASN’T the chief Cornerstone. That’s yet another anti-Catholic whopper you’ve been weaned on.

Finally – Peter was appointed to be in charge of the others - and to be the earthly leader of the Church.

c. Tell me WHY Jesus said that He prayed for Peter ALONE to strengthen the others and bring them back to faith (Luke 22:31-32) if did not put him in charge.

d. Tell me WHY Peter called "Protos" (First) in the Gospel (Matt. 10:2) if he was not in charge??

e. Tell me WHY Peter's name occurs first in all lists of apostles (Matt. 10:2; Mk 3:16; Luke 6:14; Acts 1:13) if he was not in charge??

f. Tell me WHY Peter is specified by an angel as the leader and representative of the apostles (Mark 16:7) if he was not in charge??

His name is mentioned 191 times (162 as Peter or Simon Peter, 23 as Simon and 6 as Cephas). John is the next with only 48 mentions, and Peter is present 50 percent of the time we find John in the Bible.

I don’t “Divide” the Church. There is MORE than enough division within tens of thousands of man-made flavors.

Besides – there is only ONE Church – and although Protestants are related to that Church through Baptism – they are OUTSIDE of it by choice.
And YOU, as divided Protestant accusing Catholics of “division” . . .

Paul is not saying that Cephas is below Paul in authority any more than he is saying that Christ is not above both of them. What Paul is saying is that if you accept any one, Christ , Peter, Paul, or Apollos, then you must accept all of the others. A person cannot rationalize a rejection of any one of them. Verse 13 means it's a test. A question. Of course, we all know that it is impossible to divide Christ. The theme of the Church being in a sense Christ-on-earth is all over the place in the NT. That's hard to explain with the Church being full of sinners and hypocrites.
