Strong concordance # 2469. Noun
Iskariiotes means - Judas Iscariot.

Psalm chapter 49:5

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evl, when iniquity of my heels compass me.

There was a betrayer in Jesus group of disciples. Of course Jesus knew. Any clue on this.

Psalm chapter 41 :9
Yes , mine familiar friend in whom I trusted, that ate my bread, hath lifted his heel against me.

Was judas Iscariot at the last supper, at passover.
Did Jesus know his hour was up ??

John chapter 13:27
As soon as judas took the bread, Satan entered into him, so Jesus told him, What you are about to do, do quickly.

Judas had money bag. Was treasurer. Did he really care about the poor. I believe judas was inclined to hope Jesus would establish his kingdom, and he would be treasurer.

I think judas was disillusioned.

I also believe he was foreordained to be the betrayer. Psalm chapter 41 clarifying that.

Question

Did Satan have any choice but to enter judas ??

Jesus had to fulfill Psalm chapter 22, to be crucified on cross.

Judas had some issues ....

We know that he used $$ from the bag to purchase a plot of land for himself.... a period of time prior to the betrayal ... That, in and of itself doesn’t make him evil ....but being a thief and dishonest does open the door for adversarial thoughts which can build and fester ....
One of which was that Jesus did not meet the expectations that Judas had for the redeemer of Israel... and it’s possible his actions with the betrayal was a way to force that issue .... It is obvious he did not expect the escalation of beating, torture and eventual crucifixion that took place ...

Judas was at the last supper ...but that was not the Passover meal ...that never took place as Jesus Himself was the Passover lamb.

It would seem clear to me that Judas Iscariot was used by Satan.

It seems to me Judas gets a bad rap when we know,he as himself did not betray Jesus.
Satan entered into Judas after Jesus gave Judas a piece of bread.
And how would it constitute betrayal when Jesus told Judas/Satan to go and do what he must do?

Were it not for Satan would Judas have turned Jesus in? It appears not else Satan wouldn't have entered. And Jesus would have known Satan was there. Which is how he could tell him to go and report him to the temple authorities.

But if Satan didn't exist, there would be no sin at all. The very first sin in Eden was the result of the devil tempting Eve.

Question

Did Satan have any choice but to enter judas ??
Interesting topic for thought, thank you for bringing it up.

John 10:
10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: ............................................

1 Peter 5:
8. Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Revelation 12:
12. ................................................... Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

The devil's a threat to the very nature of the earth and the sea, and especially mankind.

And he is ever ready without invitation to devour or to steal, to kill and to destroy.

We can also wonder why the nature of the earth and sea is changing for the worse, even causing calamities.

2 Corinthians 11:
14. And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of Light.
15. Therefore it is no great thing if his if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

1 John 3:
8. He that committeth sin is of the devil; ......................................

We're not dealing with satan alone but also with his human servants under the very nature of the flesh or carnality, and it's works.

And as according to Jesus scripturally, 'They knew not what they do', and 'You are of your father the devil and his will you shall do'.

Matthew 10:
36. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

And the ones of satan and foes especially we're dealing with, come from our own household, even the household of faith.

Luke 22:
31. And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Isaiah 45:
7. I form the Light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

(Please read this verse carefully that GOD created not darkness nor evil. But rather HE's able to create or let loose darkness on the godly to test their faith, and on the ungodly in punishment)

Likewise, we have Jesus (or the FATHER GOD in the case of Job), having the authority, even to what extent, to allow or disallow the devil, darkness and evil.

Shalom in the name of Jesus Christ

Satan entered into Judas after Jesus gave Judas a piece of bread.
And how would it constitute betrayal when Jesus told Judas/Satan to go and do what he must do?

And if that happened "by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God" (Acts 2:23), THAT tells us that God is sovereign even over Satan.

That's both disturbing and reassuring.

John 6:
70. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Matthew 16:
23. But He turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind Me, Satan: thou art an offense unto Me: for thou savourest not the things that be of GOD, but those that be of men.

Galatians 5:
13. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
16. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
17. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

(Meaning, for one, the Holy Ghost of the New Testament initiates accordingly, 'do or say this', but the flesh 'do or say them not', but about something else on the contrary.)

19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envying, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of GOD.
24. And they that are in Christ's have 'crucified' the flesh with it's affections and lusts.

Overall we're witnessing Judas and Peter acted accordingly to the flesh and to those that be of men, and Jesus calls them too devil or Satan.

By this as a lesson, let us believers examine ourselves, before saying something wrong about Judas, Peter or other characters in the Holy Bible.

Shalom in the name of Jesus Christ

If you consider Judism at the time, yep.

Satan = Judism perhaps = waiting for a physical messiah to rule over the world.

When you think of Peter and Jesus "Get behind me satan!"

"you have you mind set on the things of man."

Very interesting that you brought this subject up, and GOD bless in Jesus name.

Matthew 24:
24. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

The final false Christ and false prophet will the first beast, the anti-Christ and second beast, the false prophet.

The false prophet shall show great signs and wonders from the sky in support of the first beast.

As what you've mentioned above, sadly anti-Christ will fulfill Israel's religious sect description of such physical messiah.

Very much so he'll deceive them for a 'short time' because, the son of perdition will rule over the world and it's people.

And on top of it, he'll make a peace treaty with Israel successfully, as how Jesus made with Israel prior with the Gospel unsuccessfully.

He will allow Israel's religious sect to rebuild their third Temple all along they 'wailed and long for'.

And, sacrifice according to the Law of Moses will be offered day and night in the Temple for a 'short time'.

In their Old Testament mind, he'll be thought as GOD of Moses sent, of the coming Messiah.

Israel then will rejoice and will determined that Christianity has been false and assuredly of a false messiah establishment.

They together with the first and second beast, and the ungodly world, start persecuting the true church saints worldwide.

The church that endures such 'shortened time' of the Great Tribulation until the end, shall receive a crown.

i was just compelled to witness this and peace be with you all in Jesus name.

No problem glad it gave you something to go off of. While there are people out there that are wishing this to happen, the thing which separates my faith between most of all other ideas concerning it being the end of time today. I would suggest what Jesus also shared about a generation of time, when all thing would come to an end, and that end would also include his return. So while they may play like they are doing something, in the reality of it all to me at least in my perspective it is just something to turn away from because of the Generation which had been in Jesus day, did come to pass. At least 40 years worth of time.

Luke 21:
36. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

'Escape' in Christ's sense doesn't mean being raptured before the Great Tribulation and home.

It rather mean able in boldness to 'endure' until the end the Great Tribulation, which is apparently shortened for the 'elect'.

Again, shalom in the name of Jesus Christ

But if Satan didn't exist

He does exist so it's a waste of time to talk about what ifs

The very first sin in Eden was the result of the devil tempting Eve.

Actually that was just the first sin on earth.

The first sin was when lucifer rebelled against God and tried to over throw God.

"by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God" (Acts 2:23)

predetermined plan Is not in the original text, that has been added.

God is not the One who predetermined that Adam and Eve would sin and God did not cause Judas to betray Jesus

Now in the case of Judas Iscariot himself besides satan entering him.

And God did not cause satan to do this nor did He cause Judas to choose to be open to the devil as the calvinists claim

Satan must obey god when God demands He does something. How that works out is anybodies guess.

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Some think satan is one of God's employees and stealing and killing and destroying God's people based on God telling him to do so which is a trick of the devil and one of his lies to convince people to lay down under satan's attacks and receive defeat.
