I think we need to remember that Jesus died to save us by garce and we have the mercy of God but if we keep on sinning we will suffer the consequences for sin on Earth and in the realm of the Holy Spirit. How can I say I love God and willingly sin and take His grace for granted? We are commanded to live holy lives sanctfied and consecrated to God alone! I do not hink this post strikes fear but reverence and respect for the God who showed and shows so much garce and mercy toward us!
Could by faith alone, be just ritualism with out Spirituality.

They that are willing to acknowledge Jesus as their saviour but not as their Lord and Master.
Rejecting Christ as the head of the body and his authority over the Church and just brush aside the significance of the Commandments, people who proclaim they are to dismiss the Law entirely and claim only under Grace. where would we all be without Law.
We are not under the Law like the Jews were, but Christ came and put it in the correct order.

Good post, Rosenberger. A brother pointed out to me that we are free from the law of sin and death (Rom. 8:2)
This means we are freed from the power of sin and can now move into holiness. To turn this into something that makes it impossible to be freed from the power of sin is the exact opposite to what Paul was saying.
In Christ, we have been given the power to overcome, and we have received new life. We have a race to run!

A head moves the body members as it wills. If the body member does not move as the head commands it is useless and a burden to the body. It is like the hand that gets cut off.

I have to disagree with this because then there is no point of Jesus coming to this world and shedding his blood. People can go on making sin offering like in the Old Testament.
Jesus came because God knows that human cannot really come to heaven under the law. His blood is shed once for all and for ALL our sins. The Bible is very clear that we can’t earn salvation by works or by good works.
I believe, it’s faith and faith alone is the way to heaven.
If it were not for the way we tend to play with words there would be a lot less confusion. And unfortunately even our Bible translators did a certain amount of playing with words. That is why we must always be careful to seek out the word used in the original language and inspect its more exact meaning for our self.
Our carnal flesh desires everything to be easy. If we have not truly experienced the putting of that carnal mind to death then our flesh seeks its desired interpretation of the scriptures centered around the sub-conscious thought of pleasing its self.
And that is why many do not understand that God's grace is about teaching us to benefit ourselves the same as he told the Israelites at Isaiah 48: 17-18. That has not changed because of grace but grace gives us the freedom to learn and to grow and to do that.
And that opportunity can be lost. The scriptures are very clear about that if one gets pre-conceived ideas out of their eyes so that they can see what is said.
This verse should not be seen as derogatory: Luke 6:25 "Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep."
The most seemingly innocent things can fill us up so that we do not hunger to proceed on to learn the true teachings of God's Word. Then we become stuck in circular arguements that merely are good to passify us while we await our destruction.
