Because, it is GOD'S armor... and when we have it on with the helmet of salvation shut, speaking the Word of God which is our sWord of the Spirit, having our feet shod to take the truth of the gospel of PEACE, our belt of truth wrapped around us, our breastplate of righteousness in place and our shield of faith ready to reflect the attack of the enemy that tries to lure us into temptation.... he runs, for he does not know that it is JUST US behind the Armor because he recognizes the armor of God and knows he doesn't stand a chance of getting victory over HIM. All we do is speak IT IS WRITTEN then say what God said regarding your situation. That is how to fight the good fight of faith and then just sit back and watch God act as we just STAND THERE in FAITH as we pray in thanksgiving for our victory that is SOON to manifest once your faith is stepped out on.

When the devil enters your head or your natural surroundings with lies and deception that either tempts you to sin or exalts his words... over Christ(God's Word) then you just WHIP OUT THAT SWORD of the Spirit(Word of Promise which is our ROCK to stand on)
