Years ago when we live in Vallejo, CA [East Bay from San Francisco] we used to take our children [very young then] and drive down to Oakland to view some of the beautiful Christmas displays people used to put out there. I hope for the sake of current residents people still do that there. Nothing even close in our town in Oklahoma.

Many people were wearing shorts.Wow awesome...lovely, what a great show. :)
A lot of work went into that.
I notice no boots, hats , coats or snow!!
The Zoo does similar here, but sometimes it can be a bit chilly! lol
We have several displays very similar right in our local area. One of them is about twice as big as this one.
With no snow, it is all we have, so all these places are very popular.
I love the look of snow, but this old body does not love the feel of snow and the cold air accompanying it any more. We were supposed to have snow last night and today, but all we got was the cold air. At least it is not wet outside. My wife and I are remaining snug in our warm little abode.

Hate to make ya feel bad, but I am doing brats on the grill tonight in shorts and a "T" shirt. It's 75 degrees right now.
I don't feel bad. We have one of those indoor grills on which we can fix our brats when so inclined. Our turn will come with the nicer weather. I would really rather have cold weather than the sweltering heat in a high humidity summer... that is if I could choose in favor of my druthers.

WE've all noticed the increase of the genuine old Christmas Carols in the malls this year! Yay! Praise God..and also , all our buses have the destination and bus # flashing alternately with "Merry Christmas"
Even in stores...amazing many more have gone back to merry Christmas and not so many "Happy Holiday" any more.

That's it...we are no longer friends.
It is 20 degs F here...and we were very happy with that....for December...feeling blessed...now you have ruined it with your shorts.
LOL ...Enjoy... and we will continue to enjoy ours. :)
Can it mean a delay or a reprieve from worse things? Perhaps it is a small way in which people are expressing their dissatisfaction with the way things in the world are going. But is it enough to please God finally? We shall see if God will allow us so much time.

Agree...maybe it is just buying time.
I do think, however or whatever we think of Trump...that the oppression of the far left ( who object to everything and demonstrate about everything...) is being somewhat held back while he is in...
As you say...it is but time...and if it is "God's Time" for the nasties to happen , then so be it..we have been well warned, well armed, and ready for what HE allows to come. ✟
Yes, I agree that Trump seems to be slowing the negative process. I have not great liking for Trump but he is an improvement over Obama [That is not saying much, is it?]
My wife despises our current president, but she also understands that God may be using him to allow someone a little more time.

If Trump had not been elected as President of the USA; the investigation into trump’s actions would never have been investigated and Trump would still be doing what he does best; lie, steal, cheat and con anyone and everyone he is in conduct with.
