No. Why would the Scriptures distinguish mankind from angels unless they belonged in separate classifications. That's like evolutionists saying that a jellyfish can now be considered an ape because it became one over millions of years! But I would never call a jellyfish an ape! ;)

The Bible can't tell you everything - it would take an infinite number of pages to do that. The Bible doesn't tell you not to put your hand on a hot stove, but you best not do it.

We were made "a little lower than the angels" (Psalm 8:5), we are served by angels (Hebrews 1:14), and in the age to come we shall judge angels (I Corinthians 6:3) In the age to come, when we have new spiritual bodies, we shall be "like angels" (Luke 20:36) in being immortal, but nowhere is it suggested that we turn into angels.

What do you think "people" in heaven will be called? It's kind of a trick question perhaps in that there won't be any "people" in heaven.

Jesus explained it one day when someone asked him if there will be marriages in heaven.... It's not like that.... (Matt 22)

The same day Sadducees (who say there is no resurrection) came to him and asked him, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and father children for his brother.’ Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children he left his wife to his brother. The second did the same, and the third, down to the seventh. Last of all, the woman died. In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had married her.” Jesus answered them, “You are deceived because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

Man is a created being--he is not immortal. God created man on the 6th day. God alone is immortal.

I Tim 6:15-16

If you are able to read it in the Greek, it's not simply "like" angels in heaven. The Greek word used is "in the same manner as" or "evan as" the angels in heaven. It means more than 'like' -- but there is a better way of considering this. Just flip it all upside down and look at it in reverse. A human is 'an image' or 'likeness' of the spiritual being-- an angel. One, a reflection, or representation, of the other. On earth, as it is in heaven.... but not exactly as it is in heaven. On earth "Like" it is in heaven. The way your shadow or reflection is 'like' you, but not exactly you.
