I was led there to Patheos by a couple of links in reference to Gen 6 and I read something that mentioned the book you have . I thought you might know something about his books .
The book you have of his is it a good read ? No matter which side you are on ?

I think it‘s a good read but I read technical books (most people don’t) and enjoy them. It would be easy to get bogged down.

Iron sharpens iron.

I tried to encourage my students to read books written by people they didn’t agree with. I’ve mentioned before that 80-90% of the books in my private library were written by trinitarian authors. Most of what I know I’ve learned from trinitarian scholarship.

I’m a Jewish monotheist (sorry about mentioning that again @PS95) but I don’t always agree with unitarian authors. I guess I should read more unitarian works than I have!

I am not currently reading these two books but I might . Have you read either of these books @Matthias ?

"The Gospel Corrupted: When Jesus Was Made God" by Kermit Zarley

"The Restitution: Biblical Proof Jesus Is Not God" by Kermit Zarley
Thanks, I just ordered them. Tell me, does Zarley believe in the presumably existence of Jesus or does he believe Jesus was just a man who was anointed by God to be the Messiah?

Okay, I'm familiar with this site and Anthony Buzzard. It's affiliated with Church of God General Conference. They are similar to the Church of the Blessed Hope and Christadelphians, who reject the pre-existence of Jesus. A view I don't accept.

Outside of the Bible, what one book would you say has had the biggest influence on your life?

This is a difficult question for me to answer, and perhaps it is for others too.

After some thought I’m going to go with a book written by John Wilson in the 19th century. Paradoxically, not because of anything Wilson himself, a unitarian, says, but because of what is said by the trinitarian scholars whom he quotes. Anyone who spends much time reading my posts will quickly see the influence of Wilson’s approach on me.

I’m currently reading No Tall Buildings in Nazareth: Parent-child conversations on religion, written by Tom Johnson
