Romans 8:36 KJV
[36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Paul equates this scripture as to pertaining to his day and time.
Tecarta Bible
Romans 8
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written,
“For thy sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Some would deceive the elect if given the chance, but Scripture presents this Verse as an eternal TRUTH for those struggling in this world, -- yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
And there's no convincing anyone who distorts/defies GOD's Word, but for those who have an ear, consider
Psalms 24:
7 Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is the King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, mighty in battle!
Now if deceivers have alternate excuses, exactly how is it that these "
gates" and "
ancient doors" are
ANCIENT? When David wrote this Psalm, the "
gates" and "
ancient doors" WERE NOT ANCIENT! --
They were MODERN!
So if indeed this 19th Book of the Bible (Psalms) is Prophetic for the 1900's, -- then yes, the gates and doors are ANCIENT. And Israel would be rebuilt exactly as
Daniel 9 demands:
25 Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off, and shall have nothing; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
But what would Christianity be without the "father of lies" (Jhn 8:44) in his attempt to lead us away from GOD's TRUTH which John warned us of! :)
Let him who has an ear ...

And a PS to ALL regarding Post #50:
Is vulgarity a fruit of the spirit? -- And the answer is YES, -- just not GOD's Spirit! :)
